He literally told everyone the time and date before. I thought they would head there myself.

Realiti will be coming in a sour mood in my next post. I can find a reason to get her there.

Arzian literally said he was doing this? Why is everyone acting as if they have to stumble onto this?

If that is including me, Realiti knows about the conference. She is just dealing with issues, I am trying to do something with her and her powers

A few questions about years in your recent post, Domino. First, the meeting of Gods you have taking place in 375, which is immediately after Arzian sent his message. The message, though, said something like seven years and seven days after the Dragons asked their questions, so the meeting should not yet be taking place in that year, correct? That's why I had Yurius, Zokmod, and Borin show up in year 382, seven years later. Second, you have the Dragons signing the treaty in year 386, but it was my understanding that the meeting of the rulers and ambassadors where the treaty was written didn't take place until one year later in 387.

I was a bit confused on that as well.

Please also excuse the acronym, it is not perfect but it was the closest I could get.

I know this might be a weird suggestion, but considering no one but the gods have reason to go to Khaline's continent, is there a chance that, after some time, it might fade into legend or being forgotten entirely?

The humans live there and so do the necromancer Alfar. Also, the Southern mountain men trade with the Yammu and the Dragons and in turn trade those goods with other isolated tribes, do they not? In my last post, one of the Dyktalios kings sent an envoy by ship with negotiators to try and get those mountain traders specifically, as well as the humans and Alfar, to join the new Simian-Dragon-Yammu trade/military alliance. Lastly, there's a portal that leads to the Northern arctic mountains of said continent from an isolated region on Ignus. The inhabitants of that continent are connected in a lot of different ways with everyone else, so at this point it seems like it'd be hard for everyone to up and forget they and their continent exist unless some God took sudden action specifically to isolate it.

By the way, since the tribe that trades with other races and then trades those goods with other tribes throughout the continent is from the Southern mountains specifically, and the portal is on the Northern part of the continent, I could be wrong, but I'm guessing they don't actually use that portal to do their business. The way I'm reading it, it seems like it'd be easier for them to go by boat to reach the portal in the Southern sea that the Yammu use, or perhaps travel further West and circumnavigate the planet to reach the Portal on the Eastern continent. Is that a valid conclusion or do they do their trade some other way?

I said a while ago that I have been having to skim read things due to lack of time, so I haven't been able to keep track of all the names. It appears that I'm totally out of what's going on, so I'm likely just going to drop out of the RP. Sorry guys.

Sorry to hear that, though in truth I don't think you're as out of the loop as you suppose. The quick and dirty Sparknotes version is that there's a war going on underwater, several races are trying to create a United Nations-esque alliance between them, others are creating an opposing alliance, Realiti created a council of humans, killed some, sent a few more to the underworld to investigate Oblivion and is becoming increasingly comfortable with murdering people who ask her for things or otherwise displease her somehow, Arzian's doing the meeting, and I'm not sure what Khaline's been up to.

I am not dropping out, but I have not had a lot of time either. I am not that caught up on all of the Yurius/dragons/Khaline Continent/ affairs.

I know there's a certain irony to me putting this, but is this RP still going?

Umm yeah. But there's both a mixture of me not having that much time anymore and people that don't keep up with the posts. So I'll post soon, ot's just going to be slower

I'm fine with doing something slower-paced in general.

Basically, the chillbone clan is planning a long term scheme of vengeance against Yurius. And I cannot see where Marma said anything to Khaline.

Why should they be plotting against Yurius? The Spirits of Dark were the ones who destroyed them. Khaline might know about the ritual, but how would the tribes themselves know how the spirits were made or by whom, and even if they had access to that information, he didn't order the Dark Spirits to attack the tribesmen, so why should they plot revenge against him rather than the spirits themselves, who are free agents outside of Yurius's command? Even if they killed or enacted "vengeance" upon him, it would achieve nothing from their viewpoint. The Dark Spirits wouldn't care. They'd just keep attacking. The tribesmen are better off seeking help either from the humans, who deal with evil creatures of spirit or magic, or allying themselves with the Light Spirits, who make it their business to oppose Dark Spirits who want to eliminate mortals.

Hell, if they actually asked Yurius for his help, he'd almost certainly dispatch his army, perhaps a regiment of the Light Spirits who decided to return to him, to deal with the problem on their behalf. The Darklings were his friends, once, but that doesn't mean he condones their seeking revenge in a fit of anger at Khaline.

@MagicPenguin You mean like how Khaline's people did nothing, and were still attacked for what someone else did? Not to mention that the only god who actually uses spirits to do their bidding is Yurius? This world appears to be one where people suffer for acts that others did. Trying to maintain thematic consistency in that regard. Anyway, the plan is going to take a long, long time, at least two to three crisis will pass before anything starts to happen.

@Domino355 My apologies. The search function didn't show Marama for some reason. I shall use the rest you gave me to add to my previous reply.

They were attacked for doing nothing, but Yurius had nothing to do with that and no one really has a reason to think that he did unless Khaline told them so, which would be either a direct lie to her followers or an odd mistaken assumption on her part. Secondly, he has an army of spirits, but that doesn't mean all the pantheistic spirits in this world are at his beck and call; most of them, the ones not allied with him (and, really, even the ones who ARE allied with him), do things for their own reasons. Assuming that the actions of all spirits in this world have Yurius as their root cause would be like assuming that every single Simian's actions have Khaline at their root because a portion of them are allied with her. Even if they were to consider Yurius a suspect, it's common knowledge in this world, presumably even among Khaline's followers who think him weak for it, that he doesn't deploy soldiers to attack anyone, especially mortals, without just cause.

You might say that these are angry mortals looking for someone to blame, and so they chose Yurius because he commands an army of spirits and it's therefore convenient; however, considering there are so many spirits in this universe not associated the Legions, I still think it's odd for them to immediately assume some angry spirits' tantrums are connected to Yurius. From their perspective, considering what they know, I think it would seem more likely to them that they just have angry spirits on their hands not under anyone's command the same way we would assume a serial killer in our world had his own reasons for doing things rather than being commanded by some army general to do what he did.

All this said, you're obviously free to write what you will; it just seems weird to me for the reasons stated that they would immediately jump to the conclusion that Yurius was the cause of their problem and that, moreover, seeking vengeance upon him would solve said problem rather than addressing the problem itself. The only way this seems rational to me is if Khaline told or implied to them that this was the case just in order to cause more problems for Yurius. If so, that would be a pretty illustrative demonstration of just what little regard she has for the people who worship her considering it would be a complete, self-serving lie.

Also, just for clarity, the Dark Spirits aren't attacking the tribesmen because they believe the tribesmen are the cause of their prior enslavement; they're doing it because they know the tribesmen are Khaline's people, whom she considered important enough that she set the spirits to guarding them when they were under her control. They want to hurt them in order to get back at her.

There have literally been no spirits mentioned in the story that are not either working with Khaline or working with Yurius, and of those two, only one of them drove them who attacked the Khaline's camp multiple times, that their ancestors were inside of. You fail to understand the stories that both sides tell themselves will be very difficult from what actually happens. Much like real life, history is shaped by perception and will of those that told it. And you fail to understand what vengeance means to Khaline's followers. It means removing a threat so it cannot harm them again. And I know the dark spirits aren't doing it to hurt the people, i said that the vengeance was misplaced.
