This is an interesting thread, because the comedy description in the OP escalates perfectly. But then we get to the idea of chicks with guns in some silly skimpy outfit, which is equally stupid- and one of those ridiculous video game tropes. At the same time, no one complains about the Conan or 300 male archetype, who fight wearing only a loin cloth. Personally I think the problem is with having women as tacked on, underdeveloped damsel's in distress. Unfortunately this has been turned into a rather divisive issue. The problem really is with juvenile and, frankly, crap character development. By the way, I've never read a novel that comes close to the extremes presented in the OP... Unfortunately I did once sit through a Micheal Bay movie, and that guy is a 13 year old at heart and in mind.
And the LAW has been obsolete for decades. Twenty-five years ago, the AT-4 was the Marines disposable anti-armor weapon, think it still is.

I think it is a misnomer that "mansplaining" is gender specific. I have also suffered "womansplaining" on several occasions. Just the other day at work I was told at length that I could not work a washing machine as a male... words fail me. Admittedly I did have food stains all over my shirt- joke. EDIT: in fact I propose a new term- "idiotsplaining"- definition: an unnecessary explanation provided by the irredeemably stupid.
I know, it's ridiculous. Separate the whites from the colors, lights from darks if you're being picky, make sure all the socks are unrolled, jeans go inside out if you're looking for the stylish faded look (don't get me started on the freezing, floating, and all that other stuff), put delicates in a mesh bag, all the silverware goes in a knotted old nylon, hot water is best for Tupperware, add a shot glass of volumizing dry hair shampoo, a cup of nail polish remover, three tablespoons of white vinegar, chuck in a bar of Ivory soap, close the lid, and press start. It's not rocket science, for Nyarlathotep's sake.
I am not quite sure what you are aiming for. Let me be ABUNDANTLY clear. People are people; some are dicks and some are not. Gender is not the overriding factor.
