@Daniel I think it's good to at least have more publishing oriented material. I can see why some might not like that to be the focus, but does it have to be a focus, or can there simply be more publishing activity and engagement? I would also say that pleasing everyone is also not possible. There's no way to make a site appealing to everyone, but you can make it widely appealing to a certain targeted group. I realise this isn't a "business", and probably not something you quit your dayjob for, but in a business, the goal is to find a targeted group and appeal to them. Do one thing, and do it well. When you spread out and try to do more, that's when it starts failing. All I'm saying is that focusing more of the site towards publishing, for example, will bring more people here that are interested in having that. Then you probably could turn it into a business, or at least that's what I'd do. If there were publishers and/or agents working directly with the site, then there might be a revolution in how people do get published. If the game doesn't work for you, change the game - and nothing would be more of a game changer than to start bringing the publishing industry into a new era. I would like to be able to contact an agent through your site, and if I do, then there would be others, and there's where you could charge for being that middleman. Further details would be needed, this is a general idea.
