Nothing happens. My main character wouldn't give a rat's ass about me. What would your MC do and how would they react if they were subject to a military experiment where they were forcibly made alot stronger but also forced to follow the orders of the government?
Faris: "Depends. Is it my government? Then I'd do whatever they asked. Someone else's? I'd rather die." Jason: "Can I just- not do that? I don't want to be a soldier. It's too violent." Shiloh: "I'd rather not, but it's not like that has ever mattered before." Mahuru: "Oh dear, that sounds unpleasant. I suppose I'd make the best of it." Charaka: "I wouldn't listen! I won't be forced into anything!" How does your MC handle embarrassment?
Ginzaekh: Telling people not to ask. Ash: Telling people to shut up. Gazi: Please don't mention it. Dav: Don't ask. Do not ask. Zarakharn: Mention it in my presence and I will kill you after the third warning. Mention it behind my back and I will kill you without warning and torture you first.
It tickled my muse so I figured, why not? Faris: "What ideals do you hold most dear?" Jason: "Erm, um, I guess I might ask what's the most interesting place you've been?" Shiloh: "Do you ever do something other than your first instinct?" Mahuru: "Oh, I suppose I would ask where you have felt most at home?" Charaka: "How's your relationship with your parents?" For question, why not pick one of the above?
Shnat, I always forget that. For nonhumans-- if humans were a mythical creature like elfs and fairies what would people say about them that would be totally wrong? (Example-- they have two hearts and live in invisible houses)
Bullfinch Jr. got locked up in an asylum by his dad since he was a deranged kid and an affront to the family line. He has no love for him. He never knew his mother but likes imagining who she was. ---------------------- What does your MC think of prostitutes?
Marckus: I am perfectly fine with men and women selling their sexuality, though for me it does not mean much on a personal note. Graxis: I have met many a happy female that sells her sex, but I am not a man to partake in such things. Corlixia: Selling is leagal. Sex is legal. So what one does for capital gain is none of my business. What would your MC do if they saw a fellow friend being flayed, and how would they feel about it?
What would your MC do if they saw a fellow friend being flayed, and how would they feel about it? Blade : Rescue them if at all possible , if not put a bullet in their brain and run. As to how I'd feel ? I try not to feel anything when I'm east of the wall, they shouldn't have broken the first rule. (Don't get taken alive) Aidan : I would make note of who their tormenters were and later I would hunt them down and rip the skin off their bollocks before making them eat their rancid cocks, and then crucifying them inverted for maximum suffering. How was your MC's relationship with their father ?
Ginzaekh: I wish I'd had one. He died when I was ten and I don't remember much of him. But he was good, and provided well for us, and he was always in a good mood. He was so excited for Har to hatch. We both were. But he never lived to see him born. I remember when he'd take me into his smithy with Grandfather Rissa and show me how everything worked. They died in that shop when it exploded in an accident. Gazi: He's very supportive of my dream to become a songwriter. He helps me when I get stuck and we always go to concerts together. And he's very approving of Ginzaekh, even though we're not a couple? Ash: My dad is funny. He knows all the best jokes. I aspire to be as sarcastic as him one day. He's pretty much the best. Dav: My dad can be a kid at heart one moment and a hundred and eighty inside in the next. He's always inventing things and it's neat to see them. We travel a lot and it's always fun. He has connections everywhere. Zarakharn: My father was an effective ruler who taught me well. He was always proud of me. His methods were unpopular but he was not hated. He always knew I would carry what he had taught me and rule Khriza well. My way of governing is quite different from his but with it I apply everything he taught. I wonder, if Fiandarsh had revealed himself to me earlier, if he had revealed himself to my father before he died... What sort of Kenshi would my father have made? What fear does your MC have that no one else understands?
Faris: "I fear nothing. I am a Kah-irr." (He's scared of not being 'good' by Kah-irr standards.) Jason: "Excuse my, my many fears are quite reasonable, thank you very much." Shiloh: "I'm scared of bugs. My people eat them, but I'm scared of them." Mahuru: "It's childish, but I have never managed to shake my fear of the Otargo. I keep picturing one of them drowning me. It's ridiculous." Charaka: "I ain't scared of anything! Except maybe getting lost in the dark, but there's nothing wrong with that!" Your MC breaks a leg. What kind of patient are they as they recover?
Dragomir: A broken leg? If I've fed recently, I'd be annoyed but walking in about six hours if we're talking an actual bone breakage here. If not recently, thirsty and grouchy until I get a pint of the red stuff. What was your MC's childhood treasure?
Tim: This here ladle, kept me sane through lonely nights,- your face! Nah it was my first kiss, I still treasure it now. Full of summer and a little cider. Who would your MC trust with a large amount of money? And who wouldn't they and why?
Probably his best friend Popstar. He sure as hell wouldn't trust himself with it, haha! Would you describe your MC as more likeable (people want to be around them, they're friendly or nice to talk to) or simply relatable (they may not be the nicest person to talk to (not that they're an a**hole, but they're understandable or easy to empathize with)?
Ginzaekh: relatable Gazi: likable Ash: sometimes likable Dav: likable Nat: Obi-Wan Kenobi. Take that as you will. Your MC writes a story. What medium do they use, assuming they aren't limited by the technology of their own universe? Novel? Stage play? Holographic 3-D film? TV show? Audio drama?
Vanna would write a song. Absolutely. With rocky guitar accompaniment, no less. What kind of music does your MC like, or do they not care for music?
Alec: Either something Heavy Mithril – that's fantasy-inspired Heavy Metal – like "Through the Fire and Flames," or something from Marvel like "Fox on the Run" or "Angel of the Morning." Charlie: Rihanna Amy: My absolute favorite song is the Confederate anthem "Richmond is a Hard Road," but I love Johnny Horton's war songs like "Sink the Bismark," I love blood-pumping kill-people songs like "Down with the Sickness," and I love songs about not taking shit from anybody like "Titanium." How hard is it for your MC to get out of bed most mornings?
Arin Hellant: Very hard, as I live in a very prestigious academy that doesn't tolerate tardiness, especially from it's teachers, so in order to get the other professors as riled up as I can, I usually sleep in until at least the end of my first period class. When will you MC decide to give up on their goals if ever? And is Shkak edible, and would your MC like as the case my be?
Because I still wonder what it is and what the purpose behind it is, if it considered a curse, why is it considered so? My MC enjoys the same curiosity behind certain things that I do. If it is just a meaningless word, why? Why include a word that means nothing except for the fact that it is used to express displeasure? Many book series I've read have explained the story behind why something is a curse. Could Shkak be considered the lowest rank in your dragon society, or could it refer to something that is considered displeasurable to look at, hear, smell, or touch? To answer the final question, I have already mentioned that I am curious and that is why. I also wanted to know someone else's response to the question.
Shkak is a euphemism for a nastier word. I won't say what it is (to be honest, it's because I haven't come up with one that sounds suitably nastier.) Shnat, on the other hand... It's basically equivalent to "sh*t".
To bring this thread back on topic, Vanna would never give up on her goals. She's young and full of hope. Elsie doesn't have any goals. She's roughly the same age, but rather too cynical? How rebellious is your MC?
Alec: If my friends don't explicitly direct me otherwise, I ain't gonna get myself in trouble with The Man by making waves. If my friends need me to do something The Man ain't down with, I ain't gonna tell my friends "no." Charlie: I follow the rules that work and break the ones that don't. Amy: I'm Chaotic Evil. If you try to force me to do something, or if you try to stop me from doing something, and if the only reason you give me is "Because I said so," then you're getting hurt. If your MC had to forget something good in their life and never get it back again, what memory would they choose to forget?
It's been a while since I joined this thread. Who self describes by DnD alignment? I guess "Amy" does? Anyway, "If your MC had to forgot something good in their life and never get it back again, what memory would they choose to forget" Isaiah- "...Probably something from growing up. Those memories can just be painful now, given things..." Does your MC see themselves as a smart person?
