    Question Brainstorming Session??

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by DLL333, Jul 21, 2017.

Is there a specific place on this forum where we can just bounce initial ideas off one another to help something form? I have all these awesome concepts or plots that I'd love to see take some more shape, and I've found great success in bouncing ideas back and forth. Would anyone be interested in starting a brainstorming thread or something? Not just for me but for anyone with a cool idea?

I'm sorry if there's already a place on the forum for this, if so, could someone let me know?

Have you thought about actually writing it out? Ideas are really so useless.

What you're describing usually slots into the setting development, character development, plot development sub-forums depending on the nature of the question. You'll get plenty of brainstorming in there... might even want an umbrella once the crew gets rolling.

As @Homer Potvin says, brainstorming should fit in one of the many sub-forums in the Creative Writing section. Have some nice ideas about plots you want to discuss with others? Post in Plot Development. Do you have a cast but no world to put them in? Try Setting Development. Or maybe you have a really cool concept of a magic system? Try the Fantasy forum under "By the Genre".

Another possible option is to take a look at the Writing Prompts section. It's a place to post word/writing games, prompts, or challenges. If you are looking for open brainstorming where anyone can add their own ideas and concepts, this might be a place to try.
