There would be an awful lot more if I stopped resisting the urge to report and say, "Is there a subforum called Meaningless Drivel?"

Seriously, the others were right about the number of "i want 2 write a story but i dont know what about can you give me some ideas pls" threads.

Yep. It's pretty bad back there. But it does show how far the forum has come since then.

By the way @Tenderiser, you forgot the "lol" in your paraphrasing of the threads.

I've followed this thread since it was posted, so I know of the hundreds of threads that have been sent to faraway buckets. ;)

Everybody should experience the beauty of this thread: https://www.writingforums.org/threads/changed-my-mind-about-the-book.12102/

P.S. Wreybies apologies for the editorialising on recent reports. I've kept my comments in brackets so you can ignore them. But it's like when you watch The Ring tape and you have to share it with someone else within seven days or else you'll die.

We all start somewhere. :bigoops: And the vast Empire I mentioned before, from which a small rebel alliance broke away and formed this and a few other forums, was the kind of place where tiny infractions were met with the deep rumbling laugh of Jabba the Hutt: "To the rancor pit with you!" :bigeek:

You forgot the kisses at the end. "what shud be the title of my book lol xxxxx"

As though the person is actually laughing and kissing you as they're asking.

    *vomits*

What are you talking about? As a gay I would find that book totally relatable.

@Tenderiser, petal, you're reporting threads from inside the By the Genre subforum.....

But I correctly identified that they belonged there!

@mashers warned me about that. I'm using his Next Thread method.

It felt like more than that!

I'm done for the day, but will be back on it tomorrow. :) Wrey, if I'm frequently getting it wrong (i.e. you disagree) let me know so I can adjust.

Probably 95% of the threads fall into one of these categories:
    • What do you think of my idea?
    • Do you outline or not?
    • Queries about plagiarism/copyright
    • How do you get motivation to write?
    • Does music inspire you?

    I am ever grateful! :supercool:

Just finished giving the dog a bath so I'll rehouse the ones still in the bucket. Later today I'm zipping across to the other end of the island in preparation for my flight tomorrow to Orlando (Vay-K, yay!) so if I'm not around for a bit, that's why. :bigwink:

I was wondering that. Like handing out blocks of dates? If I magically end up with free time tonight, where would I start?

I'm seeing that threads with start dates in the 2010-2011-ish block are unexcavated. :)

Mashers and I are coordinating our efforts on the earliest threads and just reached 2009.

At the moment we have @big soft moose working from the most recent threads backwards, and me and @Tenderiser working from the oldest threads forwards. I think if we were to have more than two people working on this at a time, we would indeed have to allocate blocks of dates to individual members.

A word on Resources: The software doesn't give me an easy move to that area since it's kinda' sorta' a widget. Instead, maybe reply to thread with the words Move to Resource so that I can do a search later and manually transfer them. Watchathink?
