It was. It's a first for me, that kind of response. I *think* I'm flattered.

TMW you are rushing around the house trying to leave on time and your 18 month old walks up, looks at his (nonexistent) watch, and calmly states, "Time to go."

At least it made me laugh and then I felt better. I was still late though.

In the right context, this is a brilliant horror line.

That moment when you're still worried about the spelling test you have to do for a job interview even though your mum is constantly using you as a dictionary.

She has an actual dictionary on the bookshelf next to her.

TMW it's on the news that there is an alligator in the lake you live on in New York (and, no, it's not Lake Placid) :wtf:

@Trish Sounds like somebody released their Florida sewer rat
when they were on vacation up in your state.
    Are gators common in NY?

@Cave Troll They think it was someone's pet and it got too big so they released it. Personally, I think they should call Betty White to come lure it in with a cow :p No, they're not a thing here. Our temps drop as low as -20 in the winter. I don't see how they'd survive.

TMW you haul your ass to town for booze and a candle, because the
the power is out and you don't want to burn through your batteries
for your flashlight. Only to come home and the power is back on. O_O

    TMW you block Mark Zuckerberg.

    On Facebook!

I've got a friend who follows him and keeps sharing all his stupid status updates and livestreams of his BBQs and stuff. Really don't care.

The struggle is real. My Amazon shopping cart has a perpetual fuck-ton of books. Whenever I order a couple, I put double that amount into the "save for later" portion.

I go on Amazon looking for one book, and I always wind up buying five or so. My to-read pile keeps growing, no matter how much I read.

I've said this before on this site, but it bears repeating: One of my biggest sources of anxiety is that I can read a book, two books, every single day for the rest of my life and probably never read my favorite, or even know it exists.

I have been able to put a cap on my need to read pile. Every so often I add one or two. :D

    LOL. :)
I've tried to move to e-books, but I also like the feeling of a real, physical book. Usually if I buy a physical copy, I try to find them used 'cause otherwise I think I'd bankrupt myself.
