I believe, without google, that t-shirt bras are just bras that are meant to be worn underneath a t-shirt rather than connected to the t-shirt.

    Whoops. Cross-posted with Chicken.

The nice ones are super comfortable. Since discovering them, I now wear t-shirt bras with 90% of my outfits, and only wear lace bras for those weirdly cut blouses & dresses where the straps or bands of traditional bras show—decorative bras make it look like it might be an extension of the dress & no ugly hook & eye glaring through.

But t-shirt bras are really nice and I highly advice every woman giving them a try.

More like €51.90 and €43.90... They look very comfy though and I bet I'd buy them if I found them on sale. Maybe find the right size and then order online.

Having said that, I've paid ~ €50 for ShockAbsorbers because they're superior. :superyesh:

They are super comfy, but for some of us larger breasted women, they don't do a damned thing. I wear them at home, but out? That could get awkward.

    That's super expensive.

It should only be like €12-13, tops. But over never bought these brands outside of the US, and I know all the retail outlets & sale places to get the nicer items for way less.

Currently I'm a DD, and the DKNY t-shirt bras still work amazing. Decent support, still the most comfortable.

However, I'm normally a C so I'm working to go back down (I yo-yo in weight every year & a half).

I haven't tried them, but maybe I will. I'm a DDD/F depending on maker so it gets.... interesting

    No, I completely understand.

The bra options plummet dramatically once you pass a C I find, and you're always sacrificing some combination of support, comfort, or fashion.

Like why is it suddenly so much harder to have pretty bras that are supportive and comfortable?

Why do they suddenly go super bland or downright ugly, but feel right—or else be cute but lack the proper support and/or not feel good to wear?

It's the same with bikini tops. Super frustrating.

I'm grateful to have found a brand/style that functions without underwire. That may be as good as it gets.

As a random note, I remember, I think in some engineering class, a discussion of a project where engineering students analyzed a variety of bras in terms of the amount of stress applied to the body at various points, and were horrified at the results.

Exactly. AdoreMe is nice. At least they have pretty things (and decent quality). My biggest problem is being a 36 band with that size. They figure if you're that big you must be a 40+ or something, so then I have to get out the sewing machine and wrestle them into fitting some semblance of properly. Annoying. As. Hell.

I'm horrified at the results every night when I take mine off lol. I usually take the underwires out immediately though. Nothing worse than those things poking you.

Uw, what brand do you support?

I always like to know success bras
    RIGHT!

It's like that with shirts & dresses too!

If I find something that's big enough for the girls, it's baggy & wide everywhere else and I'm drowning in extra fabric.

But if I try to find clothes that just fit the rest of my body, it's totally too tight to force my chest into

It's so hard to find clothing lines that understand that bodies do not come in nice proportional incremental increases.

    "Glamorise". Such a dreadful name.

There's no more information on the tag, and I got them from Nordstrom, but a quick Amazon hunt suggests that it's the "Glamorise Women's #1006 Full-Figure Sports Bra". So I'm wearing a sports bra every day? Huh.

Bland as bland, but quite comfortable.

I discovered one day that an underwire had made its way partly out of the fabric, and that with the wrong sudden move I could have been punctured. That's the end of underwire for me.

I feel like a gender-traitor, but... I like underwire! Yeah, you've got to be careful when a bra gets old, because for sure they hurt when they come loose. But when they're new? I think they not only make my boobs look better, they make me more comfortable. Extra support, holding the girls a bit away from my body when it's hot and sweaty... I like it!

(I'm much more modestly proportioned - B cup when I'm lean, C or D when fat. So maybe that's the difference...)

You're not a gender traitor. I do still have I think 3 that have them, and for exactly those reasons. But I only wear those on special occasions. It may just be the size difference, because I'm lucky if I can wear one 3 times before getting stabbed.

Do you put them in the dryer? We had a dryer repairman come to a rental house I lived in when I was a student, and I guess a lot of years of college students not being too careful about their laundry led to a pretty weird situation. The repairman took something apart and started pulling all these curved wires out of the guts of the machine. The landlord (elderly Asian man) was totally baffled, but my roommate and I knew exactly what they were. Errant underwires. There must have been... I want to say thirty, but I'll settle for at least twenty, and apparently they'd finally gummed things up to the point that the machine couldn't function.

The landlord wasn't impressed, but, really, at $35 for a reasonable bra, 20 of them destroyed by that machine - the bras probably cost more than the dryer did!

Nope. I hand wash them (sometimes I get lazy and wash them on delicate - in mesh bags) and hang them. Yeah, I'd have to say the bras cost way more than the dryer!

I suspect it's a proportion thing, yep. Re support, that sports bra with the horrible name that I mentioned upthread seems to pretty effectively replace all that support with Really Serious Fabric Structures. It's like a suspension bridge.

I do have three or four horribly expensive underwire bras that I do wear when I want the very best silhouette. However, I do indeed totally ignore the washing instructions and put them in the washer and dryer, and they're disintegrating in a predictable way.
