I'm still a newbie to this forum and its conventions. Where would be the appropriate place to post a piece of work with wich one needs some help and that is still very much a work in progress?
Depends if it's a short story or a novel. If it's a novel, post it in the novel section. If it's a short story, select a category and post it there.
The simple answer to your quesion is that all works for review must be posted in the Review Room workshops. That is what they are there for. If you wish to post completed pieces that are NOT a work in progress, then your blog is a more appropriate place. Everything posted in the Review Room is for dissection.
Alright, seeing as how yer new around these here parts I'll give ya a pass. This thread right here has all ya think wanna know, and a lot of what ya don't know you need ta know, but ya do. Trust me on that. I suggest snuggelin' up real close to tha thread. Gettin' all intimate like with it. You take care to read it, and it'll take care of you.
Whoa, I didn't realize Wrey and I became members of this forum around the same time. Gosh, I feel old.
It certainly is a challenge. Typically when I take any translation work I always make sure to leave at least a day to let the project "rest" once I'm finished, and then take a second pass the next day. Lot's of silly typos are seen in that second pass that are invisible in the first. When the work is from English to Spanish, it's much, much easier. Spanish has draconian spelling rules that that doggedly will not be arsed as regards the origin of a word. Words are spelled the way they sound. Period. There are no spelling bees in Spanish speaking countries. They are not needed.
