@Tenderiser is just war profiteering. Don't blame her for a capitalistic mentality.

I'm Switzerland. But, as I said, I have harpoons and bear traps for sale.

Yes, I am an innocent victim of capitalism :(

I'm Puerto Rico. Also neutral, but for some reason no one cares about our neutrality. :pity:

So yeah, I've got this camera and two separate and polar news outlets.
I'd love to get interviews from both sides here, and maybe some from the 'heartless arms dealer' or 'amazing job creator' depending on which of my outlets you view.

Dry as a snake's belly beneath a creosote bush. The hiss of the wind, the hiss of the sand, the hiss of the snake. A blazing world made of white noise.

So I just discovered that one of my characters, a German lady, who name is Edith Steiner, also shares that name an actual Jewish survivor of the Holocaust.

Reading children's books is quite fun I must say. They tend to be very direct with short sentences and maybe a paragraph or three, but the fun is still there. As I thought of why a children's book would appeal to a 27 year old like myself, the best answer I could find was "Well...you were a kid for a long time." :p

Anyone in the US making a trip to see the eclipse? I'm not in the path of totality, so for me the effect isn't so much day-turning-to-night as it is afternoon-turning-to-slightly-later-in-the-afternoon.

I do randomly have the day off work, so I'm trying to do some writing in hopes that the celestial mix-up above me would provide inspiration, spoiler alert: it's not.

A dear friend of mine went toward the path of totality only to realize she lacked the glasses to actually view the thing. Here in NYC, the sky has gotten a bit darker and it does seem like the sun is being blocked a bit.

I know, but whales think they're all that and a bag of chips and they hate being called fish.

That is a baby pudú. It's a kind of deer from South America. Tiniest of them all. Adults are about the size of a beagle and babies are super tiny.
