Daily life of a maid, body guard, personal assistant, and private security guard?

Discussion in 'Research' started by TheDarkWriter, Oct 21, 2017.

I'm writing some characters but I don't know what their daily live or rather their work schedule's might be like so I'm wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what the daily lives a maid, body guard, personal assistant, and private security guard might be like.

This kinda makes me think of the T-800 in a French Maids outfit. Sure that would
have changed the tone of the Terminator series. :p

This goes through a days events by time at the start of the day.

The security guard will be a much more boring version of the bodyguard, so
just simplify the first, and you have the second. They both keep a regular log
of events. (Trust me, I have been a security guard, its boring.)

Being a personal assistant does not really sound like a dream job. :p

Hope this helps with what you are trying to find out. Good Luck.

Year, place, and to whom? A personal assistant and security detail to an executive would have wildly different duties than a personal assistant and security to a celebrity, for example.

Job responsibilities of a security guard in my building:

    1) See if anyone is parked improperly.
    2) Whine ineffectually and with an utter lack of authority at anyone who has.
    3) Replace lost key cards.
    4) Validate parking.

Forgot to add, personal assistants are often on duty 24/7. When pagers were a thing, PA's were among the first to have them. (In another life, I was briefly a P.A.)

I knew a body guard many years ago. He was just a normal person after work but his hours were long so he had troubles with raising his son. He and his son were both good at sword fighting because they had the genes for it. That kind of person is born to either chase the bad guy or become the bad guy because of their need for constant action. They want to be in the first line if they join an army so that they can protect the ones behind them.

Nice question! So, as a maid, I'm taking this opportunity to share with you what a typical day in my life looks like. I start my mornings early, ensuring the utmost cleanliness and organization of the households I work for. Each day brings a variety of responsibilities that keep me busy and fulfilled. I meticulously clean every room, dust surfaces, sweep, and mop floors, paying attention to every corner. Laundry is an important part of my routine as I carefully wash, dry, fold, and iron clothes. In the kitchen, I prepare meals according to the family's preferences and dietary needs. If there are children in the household, I dedicate my time to caring for them, engaging in activities, and ensuring their safety. Additionally, I often run errands like grocery shopping or picking up supplies to help maintain a smoothly running household. By the end of the day, I assist with dinner preparation and clean up, leaving the kitchen neat and tidy. I hope this insight into the daily life of a maid helps you gain a better understanding. I hope this provides you with insight into the daily life of a maid.
