clearly he licks them and tells by taste ...

Also joking aside a colonial tavern wouldn't have had china plates - they'd have been wooden boards or at best tin plates neither of which need much washing you just scrape them off put them down for the dogs to lick , dunk them in water briefly, and reuse them

I can say with full certainty that I never saw anything like that coming.

Interesting. Wouldn't they have had wooden cups, bowls, and utensils made of wood? What about the pots and pans?

I'm pretty sure they had metal pots and pans. Trading for pots, pans, anything metallurgy related with the Native Americans was very lucrative during the 16th and probably 17th century.

If they were wood you definitely wouldnt wash them - they'd warp. However I'd expect tin or possibly pewter. pans would probably be steel, cast iron, or copper

By this point in my story-a-day challenge a frequent thought is "you mean I have to write again, today?" :dead:

    It can't always be fun.

lol, I guess everyone's got to have a hobby.

I have a feeling that even if this person, or people that believe this were shot into space so they could see that astronauts and that the earth is a sphere, they still wouldn't believe it. It would be a drug induced hallucination perpetrated by NASA.

I was thinking the same thing. Not sure if that's an indication of the depth of our cynicism, or the sheer power of the stupid stick.

The stupid stick is a weapon of might.

Well, every good cynic is a self proclaimed realist, ;). I try to keep it real, haha. I have a really dark sense of humor that probably needs to come with a warning label.

Wait, hold on, are they talking about a potential ‘Eragon’ reboot? While I wouldn’t mind Hollywood actually doing the series justice (and improve on it), but I thought ‘The Inheritance Cycle’ was a long-dead thing; died long before the Twilight series came about...

The only holiday music anyone should be playing is Jingle Bells, because it was technically written for Thanksgiving.

All this Christmas music needs to be put on hold till next week. Or at least till Friday.

I mean, it was October and all the Christmas decorations were crowding out anything Halloween.

    This has got to stop.

At this rate I won't be surprised to see Christmas trying to wrap its tentacles around Easter, slowly encroaching on all other holidays—big or small—until finally it reigns supreme all year long. . .

I wish this is what they would play at work. It would help me feel far more festive.

Also I hate Christmas music, but this, this I can get into. I even listened to the next one "Jolly old Sadist". I'm not sure the soccer mom's and old people would be shopping at the store anymore, But my holiday would be better.

Also, 'red snow' is brilliant. I like Rudolf with some initiative.

Cardboard box under the 210 overpass looking pretty damn enticing right now. . .

Location, location, location. Overpass property is very pricey in the LA area, I hear.

Yeah. I might need to be more realistic.

Maybe some newspaper rather than a cardboard box.
