    It's not a book cover, it's an illustration done as part of the artist's exhibition titled Side Show.

    My thought is that either the book's author or the cover's artist used The Knife Thrower as inspiration for the cover. Which is fine, but they stayed much too close to the original work to be considered merely an homage or tip of the hat, especially without openly crediting the original source and artist.

    Thank you. I did not know that it was originally just an artistic piece.
    And I agree the resemblance is most strikingly similar.
