    My mother loved that song. Only, she thought it was 'dirty things done to sheep'. I blame the crappy speakers in her Buick Century.

    His death made Ricky Gervais' feed, good enough for me.

    Many Japanese will be pleased, the North Koreans were able to extract some concessions from Japan in return for freeing him. He married one of the Japanese abductees in the DPRK, and Japan saw it as a humanitarian issue for her.

    I guess earlier this week facebook went apeshit with news of Alan Tudyk's death. In reality it was another in a seemingly long string of hoaxed celebrity deaths. Alan and his reps wanted to make sure everyone knew the news and reports of his death were greatly exaggerated.

    I believe he was also the chicken in Moana and the droid in Rogue One. He's actually made a lot of small appearances in a lot of TV shows and movies and I haven't disliked him in any of the ones I've seen.

    I can't say that I've liked, disliked, or even noticed him, but due to my location, my pop culture access is spotty. He's not dead, so he's got some more chances to be graced with my attention... <looks down nose>

    <sneezes>

    <wipes nasty booger off upper lip, fails to notice that more of it hit shirtfront, walks out into the world looking like an imbecile>

    <as usual>

    He's done a lot of stuff. He does a lot of voice over work for feature film cartoons; he was King Candy in Wreck It Ralph, he's been in a few big films and been on Broadway. As far as actors go he's no Laurence Olivier, but he's not exactly high school drama club level, either.

    some of you are going to have to look this guy up but

    Warrel Dane (Nevermore, Sanctuary) died on the 13th of a heart attack, while recording a new album.

    Like Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington, this guys death hit me harder than expected, I've been a huge Nevermore fan for a couple years, and when I heard this, i genuinely felt numb for a good couple days.... (And like Cornell, he's from Seattle...)

    I'm not a sports person, but even so, I don't think I've ever heard that name before. Sorry for your loss nonetheless.

    RIP Rose Marie... She played"Sally"on The Dick Van Dyke Show, and before that was a popular nightclub entertainer, and before that, she was one of Hollywood's first child stars. She may have done Vaudeville, too, if I'm remembering her resume correctly.

    (ETA: She did work in Vaudeville.She started in the business at age 4 and was still working when she died at age 94.

    Per her (entertaining) Twitter feed, she attended the premiere of the documentary about her life and was attending Q&As at screenings, and she was looking very forward to attending the Oscars when she passed away. The documentary is getting major Oscar buzz, and she was thrilled, because she always played the sidekick.

    Earlier this month, on the 5th, adult film actress August Ames took her own life. There's some disagreement as to the why: some of her closer friends say it was after cyberbullying, others say it was because of her bipolar disorder, and still others say it was her having trouble dealing with the recent death of a close friend. Whatever the reason, she was only 23.

    Mystery writer Sue Grafton has died in Santa Barbara, California. She was 77.

    "Her daughter concluded her posting by saying, 'the alphabet now ends at Y.'"

    I never read any of those, but always kinda wondered if she'd complete the series.

    That's a shame. As much as I got sick of Linger being used as the emotional swell in rom-coms, I was a decent fan of The Cranberries other songs when I was younger.
