Gynarchy depicted in Erotica is often akin to Nazi Germany, except the men
are the ones who suffer from such a regime. Thing I can't figure out is what the
correlation to ones fantasies and the fear of such a horrifying regime that would
impose upon the male populace as a result of such sexual depravity.

I'm kinda skeptical. Making sex unpleasant sounds like something a sadistic "creator" might do. I think natural selection would have eliminated felis domesticus by now if sex was unpleasant. I have been around an un-neutered female cat. She sure wanted something in there.

I saw this on FB, and decided to do the math. If he fathered a son at 70, and that son fathered a son at 70, it is plausible. I am sixty two and had one Grandfather born in the nineteenth century, who once worked as a teamster-the real kind that drove teams of horses. By 1920 it was a truck, but truck drivers back then were still called teamsters, which is where that union got it's name.

 

Ask a vet. That's far from the only source that mentions painful feline sex. I think for female cats, the desire to mate is more of an instinct than a desire for sexual pleasure. Is it always painful? Who knows? The thing that convinced me that it's not pleasant for them is that cats have different distinct meows for different types of communication, and mine was using her "I'm in pain" yowl when the cat next door paid his visit. Yet she had separate sounds for everything else, including different meows to address each of our family members. Plus, when they finished she was really pissed off and ready to fight him, and she was normally a docile cat. She hissed at him and tried to claw him.

But who knows?

As part of the process, cats get stuck together until he's finished (dogs too). Wouldn't that be enough to ensure the continuation of the species?

I do think cats can fall in love, though. We got the above-mentioned female when our male tuxedo cat literally brought her home with him, and he seemed completely smitten with her.

On a side note, one useless fact I've always heard about animals is that Polar bears are left-handed.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but I often wondered, how do they know the bear is left handed? Did he take a poll? Did they ask? or are they just assuming because that's the paw he uses first when he walks?

Well, the reason for this goes into a lot of nature and science. To my understanding, the male cat's penis is barbed for two reasons: The first is to ensure his penis stays inside the female for the maximum amount of time, as the cat is constantly 'leaking' sperm (this is also why dog/wolf/whatever else have knots on their penises). The other reason is that the barbed shape helps remove sperm from the female's vagina. Female cats don't mate once and then have babies, like a human does. Other male cats can mate with a female and 'beat' another male's sperm, and females can give 'mixed litters' that contain kittens conceived by multiple male cats.

There's only a handful of other animals on earth that aren't humans who have pleasurable/non-awful mating. For most creatures on earth, mating isn't sex. It's a routine part of their life and it's an important way of passing their genes on. A lot of the times this means males of a species will either out-compete one another for mating rights through fighting, or the males attract females through mating displays. A lot of the time it also means mating happens via rape, with the males raping the females. It's not a pleasure thing to these animals, it's instinct and survival.
