...okay, it wasn't as much a package as a tin I left them in. Details. So I don't really have a date.

Does tea tend to go bad? It smells like it should. Better not drink it?

From what I can find at tea sites it should be okay, and the worst part would be bad flavor if it's too old.

Okay, I'm not sure if this goes into The Happiness thread, The NOT happy thread or Things that annoys me, but I felt I had to share.

So I recently moved, as most people know. Turns out that this apartment used to belong to a friend of mine.

A few weeks ago I got a letter. Not addressed to me. It was for an old university friend who lives a few apartment buildings away. Didn't even know she still lived around here!

This weekend I was flipping through the tv-channels when I saw a girl from my ex's larp group. On a documentary kind of program.

Today an ex of mine. Not THE ex which I talk about all the time - but a boy I was together with when I was 15 contacted me on a dating site.

Why am I telling you all this? I have no clue ;)

I don't believe in signs, but it's just so weird that all these people from my past keeps showing up in unexpected places. Has the world shrunk lately, or what's going on?

Your ex used to LARP? :p

I actually think this is pretty funny and I don't know why.

He is the game master of the local LARP group.

Do you know what he did the weekend he kicked me out of the apartment? HE LARPED!

Live action roll play ... is this where people dress up as warriors and shit ?

You're really better off without the sad bastard (running round playing pretend is for kids)

Oh and on 15 year old Ex - remember there's a reason hes Ex, I doubt hes improved in the last 11 years.

    Vampires. Mainly.

Though the weekend I moved out was Harry Potter.

Not to worry. There won't be any dating going on there. Not... oh no. Things was quite bad even back then. I mean, it's nice to talk old memories, but... no thank you.

I tried LARPing once just because I thought it sounded fun. Like running around playing pretend like kids. Only pretty much everyone else there was that whiny kid that was constantly complaining about not playing right, following some arbitrary set of rules that only they know, or threatening to kick you out because you're not doing things safely or taking things seriously enough. I'm sorry, but if who I'm playing has had a hundreds year war with come faction, then chances are I'm going to rub my balls on their corpses. That's just being true to my character.

Thing is - larpers are the kinkiest people I've met - so at least the ones I known would've loved to get balls rubbed on them, being in character or not.

I think I'd like your LARPers better than mine. A few in the group I was with were pretty homophobic and didn't even like me romping around shirtless. (I was a barbarian!)

A lot of the people in the local group here are hbtq in one way or the other - homophobia (or being shirtless) is NOT a problem.

It was more awkward knowing that most people in the room had had sex with each other at one point it the other... though I only played with them ones, but I hung out with them outside of larping back when I was with my ex.

I used to date a girl who's also bi, she and I broke up a long time ago and stayed friends, but the one bar we went to either one or both of us had either dated or hooked up with most of the staff. It was always funny to see how awkward they'd get when we'd both go up and start flirting at them and comparing notes in front of them.

Found out today, during this semester of working as a graduate assistant, I will get my first professional writing credit. I'll be helping do a new edition of a Criminal Justice research methods college text book!

I finally have a cover that works for my sequel, and that makes me fairly happy.

Got a new job to get me through college independently of my parents. Unfortunately, not independently of loans, but that probably belongs in the other thread.

I can't scroll fast enough past all the stuff on Facebook and in emails that's supposed to tug at my heartstrings, but I have to admit I'm a sucker for the videos where military Mom or Dad come home early from Iraq or wherever and surprise the kids.

God bless you, Student Loans, for helping me get through my college years. I don't think I'll ever be able to repay you.

I finally, finally broke my teeth and wrote the beginning of my story. Two hundred words, and I'm not sure if it's any good or not. But hopefully continuing will be easier than starting.
