    The Mist was on cable.

I wonder if it bothers Thomas Jane that he just barely missed out on being Aaron Eckhart.

    Or vice versa.

Possibly the least-bad Stephen King movie. Or maybe that should go to Carrie...

There should be more vegetarian options. Just saying.

I saw both Carrie and Christine when I was possibly a bit too young, so I'm pretty partial to them.

When I saw the miniseries remake of The Shining, and the topiary animals attacked, my wife blurted out, "Look out, Iain, the broccoli is attacking!"

    Nearly pissed myself.

    Ha. :D

Have you seen the new It? I watched it expecting to enjoy, because a friend raved about it. She got a bit upset when I asked if the comedy was deliberate.

Saw the first one, read the book, saw the new one, and...

Well, that's just never been one of my favorite King stories I guess. Not bad, just, well, kinda meh.

Yeah, that was just on the wrong side of stealing the title and nothing else, unlike Lawnmower Man.

Sh*ts on Harry Potter, sounds disgusting, can't believe I read that at 14. Passed around the same time as the Omen books, and Jaws with its rude section

I read this one when I was much too young; even now, forty-odd years later, I'll see something and finally understand a reference from it.

Can't get my eyes to focus today. Sight's been deteriorating for years now, but still a little disconcerting :meh:

On a different note, my phone's weather app is predicting temperatures of six below for the early hours of Thurs morning

And before you Canadian's jump in with your -23s, that's fucking cold for us Brits!

It's minus 3 here currently - certainly a tad nippy, but I'd rather it was cold and clear than warmer and pissing down

weather forecast says a 25% chance of snow overnight. I don't think so as its a blisteringly cold clear sky at the minute (-4 C on the thermometer now)

Sea was beautiful down at Scarborough North - seen from the castle/the cliffs - a carbon copy of Saunton, rip running up right side. Three foot swell, I’ll drag a plank down there. Applied for job with fish firm. Imagine if I get on the boats - dream fisher...or ship’s cook?

I don't understand temperature myself. Sometimes I can be freezing my bollocks off, walking round the house in a woolly hat, and my phone tells me it's 7-8 degrees. Then other times, like now, it's -2 according to my phone and I've just turned off the fire cos I'm too hot.
