I have one of these, :D . I got shot in the ass by my sister with it, after I accidentally shot her in it; she told us to hold our fire and I didn't hear her.

You know as someone who considers themselves a Star Trek Fan, I'm not really that well versed on Star Trek... so I am going to rectify that by watching all of it on Netflix, The Original, Next Gen, Deepsace 9, Voyager.... and maybe the newer ones as well.

I am the same way with WH40K but have only 'read' a couple of books, and listened to a
shit ton of lore. Can't watch the series as it doesn't exist in that medium.

When it comes to Star Trek you can't forget the Original Animated Series too.
I haven't been able to get into Deep Space 9, or Discovery. TNG is in my opinion
the funniest one in franchise. Though the Original series the opening theme sounds
    like a 60's sitcom opening. :p

I've always thought they should make Star trek: realism "These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise: It's mission to seek out strange new worlds to exploit, to seek out new life and new civilizations to conquer and enslave. To boldly go where no man has gone before and bring back lots of treasure."

You only have to look at the conquest of the New world and of Africa by the European powers to know that is totally how it would go

Doesn't have quite the same ring to it. It might need a bit more work :D.

I've been rewatching TOS lately and can confirm: the first time the Prime Directive ever comes up, it's because Kirk's hellbent on breaking it.

It conflicts with Kirk's need to hook up with some Alien Strange. :p

Kirk is under the impression that prime directive is a brand of condom, recommended for use with a hot alien chick who wants to know "what is this thing you earthlings call kissing... etc"

Norton , sheesh. I'd uninstall it then do a full system restore to an earlier point, who knows what else it ate,

Yeah, seems the forced update to WIN10 last year unset my restore points...

I reversed the forced update as well ... you can only do that within three months. I'm staying with W7 on this machine til it dies, then I'm buying a macbook (I've already got an Imac as my home office machine)

You could always back up your files and do clean install. Or say fuck it and convert it to Linux (or Hackintosh - but we arent allowed to discuss that option)
