Being good with people is over-rated. Conflict is always more interesting than compliance. Don't seek to be nice. Strive instead to be compelling. If you were one of your own characters, would you get along with everybody? Not likely. Conflict drives life, just as it drives a plot.

    Question for the Werewolf watchers:

Is a werewolf a species of...creature, or a human with an affliction?

    Asking for a friend...

I think it is like having a terminal illness, though I would say it is a bit worse
than having a bad skin condition. :p

Not sure, but I read a book once that featured wolfweres, or wolves that were werehumans. Twenty-seven days of trotting happily through the forest, but when the moon was full: Boom! They changed into hairless, sense-deadened bipeds for the night.

Tonight at the Paint desk a customer alerted me to the fact that the two gallons of semi-gloss cabinet paint that were sitting in the Mistints cart had been loaded full of sand texture grit. What the---?

    I can hear it now:
"Hey, Fred, let's put this here sand in here and get us this cool texture against the shiny paint."
    "Sounds good, Joline."
    "Here goes!"
"Joline, that don't look so good. It's done turned it flat."
"Oh, crap, it sure has. Fred, what we gonna do? This stuff's about $50 a can."
"No problem, Joline. We'll just haul it back to the Big Blue Box Store and tell them to refund our money. They'll take anything back, there."
    "That's a plan. Let's go!"

And so back that paint came and there it sits. Only now those two ruined gallons are no longer marked down to half price as mistints; I had to slash them to $5.00 each just to get the useless cans of gritty slop out of the way.

I'd say the individual(s) in question is a better con artist than he/she is a decorator.

I say kill them, crush them, scrape off bits of their skins, and make a lovely meringue pie or frozen mousse!

A million years ago in a job on the other side of the galaxy...

"I washed these shoes because it doesn't say anywhere on them that you can't wash them and they fell apart. I need a refund. I don't have a receipt. I bought them last year."

Woman: "Hey, why are these called 'smuggler's pants', anyway?"

Man: "Dunno. No particular reason, I guess. The kids probably think it's cool."

Woman: "You're probably right. How big do you want them down here?"

Man: "Oh, big enough for a couple of keys on each leg."

The hardest thing to write is falling action. Backstory, inciting incident, rising action, climax, and denouement I've got. But what to put between the climax and the end? It just seems pointless.
