Listening to Kyuss while updating my CV. I can't decide whether I should mention my writing and include a link to my blog on it. Because from the outside it might all appear a little dark.

    Yeah, so no, I shouldn't.

I'm pomdering how much of my writing experience can be considered genuine. The reason for this is that a lot of it took place in sort of collaborative online communities so I was pretty dependent on others for a lot and it's difficult to describe anything I wrote as having particular structure on its own. On the other hand there was quite a lot of writing and it certainly helped me improve my skills at such, and I did most definitely enjoy it. The experience gave me a bit of a better ability to develop characters and generate sympathy for even rather malevolent ones.

I'm also procrastinating which I intend to stop later today.

Just back from lunch with my son at Bellevue Square's new food court. You know you are in Microsoft land when Steve Ballmer shows up for lunch at the posh mall food court you are at.

Back then, you'd drink, say and do silly things, pass out, and wake up with maybe a couple of Polaroids of you wearing a lampshade and nothing else. Today, the whole thing has been recorded from seven different angles and is on Facebook, Youtube, and probably a porn site.

I'm one sixteenth Irish, so now I'm trying to figure out which sixteenth of me it is. That's like what? A hand a forearm in terms of mass? Maybe it's my drinking hand...

Oddly enough, one-sixteenth was the proportion identified as the "one drop" sufficient to render someone "black" under the Jim Crow laws in the South.

So you're legally Irish, but only if that's considered to be a bad thing.

Whooooa... deep shit, bruh. Now I'm staring at my feet, wiggling my toes and thinking, "Damn, legally Irish, son. How about them apples?"

I'm supposedly 3/4 Irish and 1/4 English but after seeing enough episodes of that "Finding Your Roots" show that sounds extremely suspect. I'm thinking about doing one of those mail order DNA tests to find out just what the hell I am.

Wondering what the hell you drank tonight. :D Sounds fun, whatever it was.

My toes might be Irish. Or some other sixteenth of me. A bit of a culture shock. I only think about it on St Paricks day, and today was particularly contemplative.

Trying really hard to justify a handful of M&Ms for dinner (No?), listening to and thinking I'll go for Tom Petty next.

I’m at a conference in Santa Monica. Just walked past Arnold Schwarzenegger in the hall. Now I’m having coffee and looking at the ocean before it is time to go to one of the conference sessions.

It’s gray outside today, but I’m stuck inside anyway, and I get down here from time to time to enjoy the sun.

Baking bread to give a loaf to each of our roofer guys, who have been working so hard replacing our roof over the past week and a half. They have done a fantastic job. They think they'll be done by Saturday.

Just finished a stupid blog post complaining about a book I read. This time it's Devil's Bargain, a book about Steve Bannon. I liked it, and if you wanna read my thoughts on it, hows about checking out my blog eh?

I'm wondering why it's 2:33 AM and I haven't done anything since I got home from work at 10:30 but play here on WP.

And I have to be at work at 7:00 AM.
