The wife’s truck is back in the shop to have the transfer case and front hubs looked at(4WD isn’t engaging); which means she’ll have my car for a few days; which means I’ll be stranded at home till we get the truck back; which, when we do, will mean we’ll be broke for the next couple weeks.

On the other hand if hes showing signs of megalomania , knowing stuff you shouldn't is one way to guarantee you don't get fired (unless he puts polonium in your tea of course)

Sounds to me like you should cut the friendship, since it is very hard to draw the line between being a boss and an employee as well as a social friend.

This woman eats like a slob; smacking her lips, crunching loudly, etc. D:<

The sound of people eating pisses me off anyway, but goddamn. Chew with your mouth shut at least.

My dad never had issues like this while in the military; they all managed to be friends even while being bosses and coworkers. I never had issues like this while working in the civilian sector of the military, either. It's anecdotal at best, but a lot of folks in the military know some rules on boundaries.

Now, the civilian-not-attached-to-military world is filled with crap like that. (My dad often comes home and says he never had to deal with the drama he has to deal with now.) It sounds like a tough situation for you.

Unfriend the guy and if he keeps with the badgering, report him.

I hear you... I hate that as well. Why do those people always insist on talking while smacking and crunching loudly while eating. Do parents not teach their children manners anymore.

So the doctor said I have sleep apnea because I have a small throat. I have never heard of such a thing. Quit thinking dirty jokes.

Only one more week of this bus driver.

I don't think she likes kids very much. She just accused a six year old of embellishing what she (the kid) told her (the kid) mother. I get it, you didn't know you were upsetting the child with your teasing, but she's only six. Hike up your big girl panties and don't be a dick about a child.

Ever since I started writing again I have been having very emotional dreams. Last night I worked on my memoir for a little while before bed and had a nightmare about an abusive ex-boyfriend. I woke up feeling very anxious.

Same. When I started writing again I started having vivid dreams, not necessarily emotional, but sometimes pretty violent. Like a couple nights ago I had a dream about a gorilla tearing a bunch of people into pieces. Like it was graphic. I wasn't even in the dream. Oh and demonic possession as well. And a weird one where I was at a gas station where I was telling everyone a story about how I apparently asked an old high school acquaintance about how to get a gun and he got super mad at me and said he was going to defame me. I was like, no dude, I want to get one legally. You know, for self-defense, but he was convinced or wanted to convince others that I actually wanted to do something nefarious.

Well we are screwed, and this makes me unhappy that Sarah has no
clue that she has doomed us all. (Kinda funny though.)

Member in my group failed to communicate necessary information to the rest of the group resulting in the need to delay shooting of our short film for at least another week. How hard would it have been to just say, "we have to schedule with the so and so"?

I used to despise group projects. What you've described sounds about like how they usually went. :(

So I've had this bluetooth speaker for almost a year, and I've been using it with my phone and laptop all that time, no probs. Today it refused to connect to my laptop, and I thought it was the speaker because it's started getting flaky the past month or so with both devices, but nope -- turns out my laptop's bluetooth wasn't on for some reason. So I go into my settings to turn it on, wondering how it even got turned off in the first place, and there's no toggle switch to do that. There has definitely been a switch before. There was a switch here, but it's gone now.

Completely nonplussed, I ask Cortana to turn the bluetooth on, just to see if another method works, and get the reply, "Bluetooth is now on. Bluetooth settings could not be changed." Good job, robot. You're doing a great job. Thanks for that.

I google the issue and get directed to win10's troubleshooter, and I'm thinking, oh, great, I love me a troubleshooter. This'll clear the problem right up. Instead? The troubleshooter informs me that my device does not have bluetooth capability. This is news to me. I have at this point been sitting at the kitchen table for ten minutes, in which time I could have washed the dishes, but I just wanted to listen to some music while I did and I've just been told that my laptop does not have the physical component that I have, in the past, been perfectly able to utilize.

Ya'll, I just updated this thing. I'm now convinced that Microsoft patched out my bluetooth adapter specifically to spite me, Izzy Bot, presumably because they didn't approve of my music tastes.

Did you try finding it in your Device Manager and do the disable/enable thing? Other than that, the only other thing I'd recommend it opening a hatch and pulling the actual component out just so you can shove it back in again to make sure it didn't get jostled loose somehow. It's amazing how many times reseating a socket has fixed a dumb computer problem for no reason.

Everybody did what they were supposed to do. But this one guy, who told us that we were good with the set, omitted that one important detail and didn't handle it himself. If he'd just told me, I would've done it. Like I'm genuinely so pissed off right now. We're so damn prepared and I worked so hard for nothing. Well not nothing, but who knows what's going to happen in another week, it may very well fall apart.

It's not even showing up in Device Manager. Clearly Microsoft has teleported the adapter clean out of my laptop.

(I'm hoping it's some driver bullshit because honestly, if my only other option is popping this thing open, I think I'll just live without the speaker.)

Have you considered re-downloading it from Microsoft's main site?
Typically little things like that are free and supported by the company.

OK so 10 is fucked then. I just updated the other day, too, and I had a hell of a time doing something. (Don't ask what it was, it's too complicated and convoluted to explain, but it's finally taken care of and took me like two hours.)

WIN10 completely removed my ability to have a keyboard a few weeks ago. Norton tech support had to uninstall the update to fix it.

Or you could just go out and get a 10$ USB dongle from Walmart. I actually got one on Ebay last year for like a buck that I have in my desktop so I don't have to worry about using cables to sync stuff off of my phone and junk and it works fine. Though it did take about 2 months for it to arrive, so the savings are probably only worth it if you're patient.
