    Thank you!

Only if she comes back from the dead and literally rises from the ashes. :) But knowing my mother, anything's possible.

Thanks, Carly. I laughed my ass off at both their comments, so it's cool.

Actually it would be, um...hell, where would I go? Maybe I'd check out Cuba. If it was enough for Paris the way I'd want to do Paris, it would be that, but it'd be cutting it close. Cuba wouldn't wipe it all out.

Unfortunately, it's the Estate's money, not mine, so it will be my Estate attorney that gets the nice trip. But I'm OK with it because that just knocked out a nice chunk of my legal bill, and my attorney rocks.

And car insurance for her car is no longer a drain on my bank account!

@Shenanigator are you implying that your mother is a phoenix? :p

She might need to pick up a few things, then be sore that you
    sold her car. :p

:) I feel like I have to keep rereading the email just in case it doesn't say what I think it says. I also feel like I've been trying so hard for so long. I'm used to rejection and failure. And I surely didn't think I would hit some of my dream targets. Hold on, I've got to double check the email again... Yep, it's a really good day.

This little thing made me, maybe not happy, but I smiled at it and we will have a good story to tell the rest of the family (but my wife asked my daughter not tell it to grandmother)

    Background:
My oldest daughter is 36(still single), but often visits us at the weekends. She is a very good daughter and always does more than here share of cooking and cleaning when she is home. This weekend she was cleaning/stuffing/shining all winter shoes as she has done almost every year for more than 20 years.

We live in a large house, there is a cellar, a ground floor and second floor. My daughter is in the cellar, my wife is on the ground floor and I am on the second floor.

My daughter, Anna, was putting away the shoes in the cellar when I hear that she is calling something irritated in a accusing voice to my wife. I can't hear what she is saying so I call down an ask what is it.

    My wife calls back.

“Anna has found my dark secret.”

Feel free to think what rushed around in my head.

    *

Well, I went down and my daughter had found a big IKEA bag filled with odd socks. Two hours later she had managed to pair about 80 pairs of socks and there was still about 80 unmatched ones.

We don't share every household task, my wife does all laundry, I do all cooking and shopping food and household stuff. I only get close to the laundry machine when there is a hair pin or some coin that stops the pump. My wife is going to hear about this the coming years (when I can't find any socks)

This probably makes me a bad person, but fuck it, after what this bitch put me through for the first two years of my employment (she quite Jan. 4th 2017, which is now an annual holiday for me, also I didn't even have to look at my calendar to know that date) . Anyways, she happens to have a Facebook page and once in a while i'll drop in to see if there is anything new (I.E. hoping she never has a child because she is a self-absorbed, nasally bitch). But today, as I remembered her, I decided to look and saw that her Martial status was: Seperated. LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, They were married at in Nov. of 2015, and even then I knew it wouldn't last long because she's a self-absorbed. stupid, bitch....

Sorry, but I have never disdained anyone as much as I disdain this person, she put me through hell the first two years with dumb drama and trying to get me fired. One night, when I needed help with customers, she didn't life a finger, and since I was new, there was shit I didn't know and again she wouldn't help me. So in frustration on my way out I flicked her off, she reported me for that. Fair enough, another time, a supervisor was being rude, so when she left the area, I muttered under my breath "Bitch" and got in trouble for that as well. Finally, though, finally near the end... before the bitch stormed out for the last time... it was getting sweet. She cussed out the Staff Pharmacists after he defended me when she tried to accuse me of stealing (I temporarily stepped into the Pharmacy with my Satchel (Which you aren't suppose to do)) .

Also, her ex-husband is only human, how he stayed as long as he did with this worthless, nasally bitch is beyond me.... Her plan after quitting was to be a stay at home wife (which is fine, if you have the money), she had unrealistic expectations and eventually, and I can only assume was forced, got work at another Pharmacy (According to her FB, assuming she still has it, she's a lazy bitch too and her FB page is filled with selfies)

I do need to apologize for my vulgar rant but I have never disliked anyone like I dislike this person. Sure I've had enemies in High School, but that is petty High School crap, easily forgotten. And i've had other people I dislike but this... this was a special dislike.

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to mention that she seemingly hated me since day one, and once she left, the Drama dramatically reduced till another coworker who is well meaning left, and now there is no Drama and all my Co-Workers are awesome people. Except for that idiot who keep talking... Oh wait.. that's me. :p

Curious that you mentioned that twice. Was her voice nasally? Did she have Lincoln Tunnel sized nostrils or something? I've known a lot of bitches, but I can't recall nasally being the overriding factor.

Her voice was nasally, I could hear it from the other side of the Pharmacy. When she talked, the only thing I wanted was for her to shut up. There was a fun bout between us when I made a comment about her and she said "Why don't you say it to my face" and I said "I did," which she replied with "No you didn't" followed by me doing something till she said "Stooop it" .... then the Staff Pharmacists stepped in. :p

I hear that. Annoying voices are the pits. I fired someone for their vocal inflection once. That and being an incompetent shitheel.

Well, I am currently writing what maybe one of thee coolest and badass scenes in my WIP. It does come out of left field though, and is one of the most violent scenes as well. :p . I also cheat and use the POV of a Support/ secondary character for this scene, only way to make it work. :p . However, it does technically create a plot hole for something a lot earlier on in the story, say around Chapter 3 or 4 and i'm currently only chapter 15. hopefully no one notices, though I'm sure i'll figure out how to justify this Character's sudden Over Powered abilities. :p . It's not the MC, so it's okay.

I was disappointed in the Nintendo Switch for (yet again) having inferior graphics to modern-gen Sony and Microsoft systems. And then I realized it’s quite powerful, considering it’s a portable system. It looks slightly better than a PlayStation 3, and you can take it anywhere. Compares Switch visuals to the 3DS, PS Vita, or most Android/iOS games.

Over 5,000 words into this short story. The end is so close I can taste it!

Edit: This is a big deal to me because it's been years since I've felt the motivation to finish a story I've started.

Found a 4 gig stick of DDR3 in the trash today so I popped it in my computer and, surprisingly enough, it works perfectly. So now I have 20 gigs total, which is nice, because I was occasionally bumping up against my cap on long renders and it didn't even cost me anything.

I met my word goal for Camp NaNo and completed the story! It still needs a lot of work, but it's been forever since I've even done this much!

Today while the electrical panel boys were hard at work, I went to a beach I'd never been to before, explored the town a bit, and had lunch. It was a badly needed afternoon of relaxation, and it was heavenly.

Another well-deserved award for member @Lew 's The Eagle and the Dragon. I'm really pleased, but not at all surprised.

In case anybody was wondering, the award is eligible for any/all books that are available to the USA market as eBooks, whether they are self or traditionally published. They can also be available as print books as well. There are lots of categories. The awards have been being given for the past several years. I think this is quite a recognition for Lew to receive.

Well, finished the coolest scene of my book, 9 pages (technically 8) spiral notebook pages of gore and mayhem, and one angry and over powered Support Character... :p . Also, I got my cop-out on why he was suddenly so overpowered for that one scene. It's quite possibly the last scene we will see him in action. :( . Maybe. For now, He's going back to doing what he was ordered to do, protect a group of young and very important boys, keeping them out of trouble and making sure no harm comes to them.
