The Not Happy Thread

Can't focus on academic work, can't add more than 150 words to my current WIP at a time, Can't Focus On Any Thing.

I'm frustrated

 

I know the feeling, I have a horrible habit of procrastinating. Sorry to hear that you're struggling with getting work done

 

Thanks @8Bit Bob . Hopefully this mental block will break soon, if not - I'm in some serious trouble. 12+ academic papers in about a 2 week time frame, plus finals, a presentation, and a mock gubernatorial campaign.

 

My brain is filling my head with disturbing, unwanted thoughts and it’s making me feel shitty.

 

Maybe that's the problem. Maybe all the stress/work is making it hard to focus...? (I honestly have no idea, just throwing it out there).

 

I feel a song coming on....

Then fill it with positive things or as I do, watch Puppy and Kitten videos till the thoughts go away. . Or play GTA V and get all that aggression out.

 

That's what I am thinking. Desperately trying to explore different outlets to try to focus and grind to get my country-mile-long to-do list done.

If it helps, I'm there too. I can't focus on anything and I'm too tired to do anything except rest my head on my pillow. I have A-Levels in just over a month, that'll be fun.

 

I feel ya. Though mine are about Cor, and they scare me.

 

I watch videos of dogs howling classic and modern pop songs.

 

Hey wait, I've got a new complaint:

Trying to cover Nirvana on guitar. I'm a beginner. I've got blisters on all four of my fingers and I can't play it anymore. Nirvana will have to wait until they heal.

 

Wasting calories on spam has made me unhappy, with all the delicious food I have to eat I waste my calorie count on disgusting spam!

 

You should have prefaced that with, "Hey, wait. I got a new complaint."

I slept through supper and the common room's got no food left. I'm starving and I have a horrible headache and I'm supposed to be getting supplies and I forgot so I don't want to admit that by asking for a slice of bread from another common room. Besides, I've put all the cutlery and plates in the dishwasher now.

 

I am pretty stoked. I have just explained for the four thousand seven hundred and sixty sixth time that I would like peoples PHYSIOLOGICAL response to an excerpt.

Dude, thank you. It's actually way easier with two fingers and doesn't hurt as much. I can't believe I didn't think to just bar the chords. I put my fingers on each individual fret. Anyway, this belongs in the Happiness Thread but just wanted to let you know.
