I've been thinking about what you said. Is there ever a perfect story? I think sometimes there is. I know I've read a few stories that wowed me enough to call them perfect.

This is common to any field of writing. It literally happens to everyone I know in science - talks, posters, papers you name it. Pressing send somehow opens up your perception and you put yourself in the mind of the reader. It would be a very powerful tool if you could somehow fool yourself into thinking that you had sent something when you actually had not. Sadly, I think that's impossible.
