I bought some new filters for my camera. My first ever filters The aim is to get me out of the house more taking landscape photos, as I love the outdoors and need something to motivate myself when I'm not feeling the best mentally, to get out and do something about it. Let the journey commence!
My urban mountaineers showed up with their mothers, some nice baumkuchen, and a bunch of very deep bows, so all is right in the building again.
They knew that from the moment I DIed them in English, but yeah. They were in their school uniforms tonight, they'll be good. About five minutes of a half-hour nightly NHK (state-owned broadcaster similar to BBC) news was on a college football (American style, with the armor and tackling), who did a very late, illegal hit on another player. It's been news for three days now, and the school may lose its sports programs as a result. Punishment here is swift and far-reaching.
Gotham. This finale...I cried tears of joy and excitement during the last five minutes. And I get one more season! It's the last season, but it's at least one more after waiting months to find out if it was going to get renewed or not!
Australian Capital Territory is introducing legislation to ban conversion therapy after an investigative report last month or so revealed it is still hanging around in Australia. Still not a federal ban which would help deter people setting up shop in one state and then taking "patients" from another; the way criminals in pro-gun states nearby anti-gun states in the US end up sending into the neighbouring state. But, this is a start.
My daughter came home from finishing her 2nd year of college this week, and she's already gotten a job! She's going to be a server at Cheesecake Factory - they hired her on the spot right after the interview.
Made good progress on my WIP so far today, may do some more later but for now i'm taking a gaming break. Plus dinner needs to be put on soon. Also, i'm at the Cameo made by my MC's distant cousin, Samuel, who my MC just calls cousin. He is an MC for another novel, that centers around events that give rise to a nation. (in another part of the world)
It was a 2,000 word kind of day. And it would appear as though I have developed a crush of sorts on genre writing.
Well, I took the plunge and started my free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime, . which I have no doubt I will allow to roll over afterwards. I really wanted to watch Psyche. not to mentioned there are some other shows I want to watch as well. though to others I really wanted Married with Children and 1000 ways to die are not part of prime. . But, I don't mind purchasing them in the future. Edit: Oh, also made some light progress in my revision.
My wife just reminded me, tomorrow it's forty years since we got engaged. We hugged in the kitchen, but we will not celebrate.
I just submitted my short story for the anthology and oh-my-f*cking-god-am-I-nervous. I don't know if I have any hopes of it being accepted, but the fact I shared it with anyone who isn't my sister is something of a miracle. So...yay? Go me?
Good luck! Submitting stuff gets less nerve-wracking the more you do it, so you've already gotten past the worst part.
Thank you! I've submitted something once before, but I admit it was crap with no chance because it had to fit into a very specific genre in a very small amount of words. I rushed it, but that was yeeeeears ago and I refuse to do the same again, lol. Anyway, thank you!
GB That is the sweetest story I've heard in awhile, your giving us all hope. Hope is a beautiful thing but not as beautiful as the love you and your wife share for forty years.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, there's just something fascinating about the details of coincidencial happenings, they keep a good thinker on his or her edge you know.
