The Not Happy Thread

Dear angst. Please get the fuck out of here, I don't have time.

 

May I steal this, I need to say this to myself every time my anxiety acts up, specially at work. Because I like my job and would like to keep it. Yeah, it get's frustrating at times, a bit depressing but at the end I do like it.

Work is about 80 % of my angst.
Being without work was about 80 % if angst over not being able to pay bills.

I hope a better job comes along, but according to a lot of people working is supposed to be a complete misery. So either way I guess I'm fucked.

 

I fully understand that, Work is the source of both my angst and my happiness as it provides money to pay bills and buy things I want, and i'm pretty much fucked with out it. HOwever, I should be in a pretty good place in two years when I get a big pay boost. Though I do have other plans as well.

 

Old toothache is back. Goddamn it all. Its all because of this fucking break-teeth granola bar I ate.

 

OH man, I know all about toothache, I have sensitive teeth and if I leave chocolate on them for any amount of time, damn do I suffer. Also coffee sometimes as well.

 

I'm a bad human being without life goals. I'm half hoping for someone (no names ) to get rich and famous so I don't have to! Just kidding. Sort of...

On a more serious note. I don't think they'll be able to afford me after the first year, so I'll have to find something else soon enough anyway, but I don't even know what I could work with. I've worked in stores, costumer service, factories, hotels. I want the job I have today but with co-workers that doesn't make me feel like shit every day. Is that too much to ask for?

 

Sensitive teeth suck, man. I use all kinds of toothpaste like Sensodyne but unless I use it after every meal, it doesn't do anything for this one spot in my mouth. Pretty sure its a cavity, but my dentist can take their root canal and shove it and canal their root.

This level of bitching on my part belongs in the first world whining thread.

Iain you could share a coffin with me. It's very comfortable lined with white silk and only the best down feather bedding. It also has a refrigerator and a fully stocked bar.

 

Saw (and killed) a gokkiburi in the apartment last night, so today is barusan. We've done pretty well, only five or so in the last ten years, and following the same procedure has always worked.

My not happy:

Making friends is hard. Growing up it was hard because I moved a lot, but now that I'm an adult it seems even harder.

 

I don't like being asked, "Did you write today?" And I don't like lying.

 

I grind my teeth, so every time one breaks, I mash up Advil and make a thick (very little water) paste and put a blob of it directly on the offender (in the cavity is preffered). Cover it with cotton or a bit of cling-wrap, and let it stay until the pain subsides. Sometimes multiple applications will be needed to prevent inflammation from bringing pain back. If pain stabs, direct application of a very very very small bit of clove oil will feel better immediately. Dull the point of a toothpick and just barely touch it to the oil. Even half a drop will numb your whole mouth, so heed the intrictions. Covering with a bit of cling wrap may isolate it to the tooth, but it will get to your mouth eventually.
Yes, they both taste awful - but the blessed relief!
Do not mix the two!

I got a letter from the city today saying my taxes were figured wrong and I owe an additional $127. I’m gonna have to have a chat with a certain accountant.

 

Well that sucks!

Getting these random dizzy spells as of late. Happened four times this year, which is abnormal, though not unexpected when considering my genetic history. I may or may not ask the doc to check on me, since it isn't something major, yet, but the dizzy spells are strong enough that I lose the ability to do, well, anything, like writing or walking. The dizziness starts with what feels like a slugging to my brain stem and complete information chaos around my head. Lasts about ten seconds at a time, but then a shortened dizziness keeps me from working on anything for upwards of five minutes. No headaches or blurred vision, just a "weakness" around my body and this unwillingness to do what I want it to.

Mind, this happens rather quickly, so its nothing major, yet. Should it persist, I'll get my ass to the doctor.

 

Yikes, do you notice anything leading up to these spells that seems to happen each time or does it just seem completely random? And then, I don’t know if you drive or take public transportation. But if you think you could have one of these spells at any time, even if it happens rarely for the most part and doesn’t seem significant, I wouldn’t wait too long to see your doctor. I have a friend who has something kinda similar to this, although with her, it’s kinda like she’s in a waking dream. It’s gotten to the point with her where if she had an episode while crossing the street, she wouldn’t be able to get out of the way of traffic because she wouldn’t know what was going on. So, don’t underestimate the severity of your spells and just be careful.

 

Ran a checklist of actions including motion(s), positioning of my body, ingestion of certain foods and drink, medication I may have been taking etc. All of it was a nay and the dizzy spells just popped up out of the blue. My last thought on it was blood pressure, but my last visit to the doctor and he gave me the green light on a "perfect score" for pressure. If I drove in NYC though, my blood pressure would most definitely be sky-high.

When I say persist, I mean two more times. Should those damn things hit me again, twice, I'm off to the doctor. It'd be hypocritical of me not to as someone who always tells people "consult the professionals" when it comes to health issues. Thanks for the concern though, Poemnerdy. Hopefully I don't have what my grandmother had, but its always a possibility. >_>;
