Hey, I'm an amateur writer looking to improve, and to get into professional writing - guess that makes me a cliché here too. I am a fantasy fanatic but also love sci-fi, and will read general fiction, modern classics and literature. Any truly good writing inspires and excites me. I was weaned on Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and a bunch of gaming and Star Wars tie ins, got into the epic fantasy big leaguers like Robert Jordan and Robin Hobb as I was growing up, and my favourite book is probably The Book of the Long Sun by Gene Wolfe. I am writing a bit of fantasy at the moment, just short stories and a novella half completed, but I aspire to write general fiction. I have a lot of ideas but don't feel I'm good enough writer yet to do them justice. Looking forward to meeting other writers and learning from some more experienced and knowledgeable minds. If I could get feedback on some of my writing, that would be amazing, and I'm happy to read through the work of others too. Hope to see you round.
