The Christian pop was... difficult to say the least. Vivaldi was too, but that had more to do with the length and the musical aspects of it. Early music was surprisingly liberating though... I won’t nerd-out about it here, but I ended up writing a six page essay on the experience of performing it but yeah, not really my choice, but it was somewhat tolerable
While we're talking about music. What did you think of the bands I mentioned? What, yesterday I think?
, yep! I sorta misspelled that. Worst part is I can't even blame speech to text as I was on my laptop. Gotcha
I liked the guitar in Arch enemy, but preferred Delain for both the vocal and instrumental aspects of their music. Idk, I think I could enjoy arch enemy occasionally, but I don’t know if I could listen to it for hours.
Well, I don’t like to say better or worse when it comes to music; it’s never apples to apples. Plus no single person’s opinion will say jack shit about the quality of a song. But yeah, I prefer Delain. You?
Delain will always have a special place in my heart because they were the first I'd heard of symphonic metal, opening a door to a lot of incredible music. The Gathering was like "you had me at hello" and as I listened to more of there music I fell in love with that band. I also got way more in to metal after that hence Arch Enemy. Where Delain is elegant and beautiful, Arch Enemy makes me feel powerful, like I could fight against the world and win. If Delain is my kingdom Arch Enemy is the army that protects her borders.
I can feel that. There was something really satisfying about the strength and roughness of Arch Enemy -scratches an itch most music can’t quite get to in a way. It feels passionate in a way you just don’t feel in other genres, so I can understand the appeal. I’d like to see what a metal concert is like in comparison to those of groups in other genres. They can all be crazy, passionate, and amazing in their own ways, but I wonder how the energy would feel at a metal concert... ever been?
Where I'm staying at Kern river, the left fork of the rapid at Beaver island is called Twisted Sister! It's fun, but very rocky. When the water's low, we call it Buttbusterland.
What Jake the Snake? No people used to call me that when I was younger and I like the way it sounds. Also why was John in that post just a sec ago? I thought I sent that like an hour ago. Oh well I fixed it.
I'm late on posts, cause I'm awake at all hours. I just hit reply and it picked up John. Jake The Snake was a wrestler in the ancient WWF, I think. In Escape From New York, 'Snake Pliskin' (Kurt Russell) was the MC. He had a patch over one eye.
Well they sound like pretty cool dudes, I especially like that name "Pliskin". But I'm just a wolf in snake's clothing because Jake the wolf doesn't rhyme. But I'ma head to bed, we'll talk another time.
