That Madness number was the first single I ever bought. And Suggs is a good guy with his autobiography being both clever and also funny. Unlike, say, Peter Hook, who is disappointingly human in his JD book, or God-face J Lydon on the TV interviews who has himself gone rather Germain Greer/Morrissey in his dotage. Bless them all. I bought 'The Smiths' when it came out - and a long time ago when I was very sincere about [pop or indie, s'pose] music. 'Hatful of Hollow' was my favourite for a long time, some wonderful tracks on M is Murder. Also the 'bootleg' is worth seeking out, that's good too. Does anyone know this? It sounds like The Seekers and is taken from the video game Far Cry 5. I'm beginning to think it must be an original written especially for the game, because none of the lyrics return any likely candidates when typed into a search engine, and my Shazam app doesn't recognise it either.
