The thing that worries me most about writing my upcoming...

No, wait, the thing that worries me most is that I'll end up known for it. Can't I please just have one little sockpuppet? No? Oh well.

So anyway, the thing that worries me most about my upcoming Martha/Snoop ummm... romance story? Yeah, let's call it "romance," that's a nice word. The thing that worries me most isn't the celeb aspect; parody is protected. And it's not the kink aspect; it's not one of my personal kinks, but it's nothing to be ashamed of. Nor is the femdom problematic except in that Ms. S is so attuned to colors and textures that they can't be ignored, but given America's history and the fact that she needs to be in charge because it's who she is and it's vital to the storyline and all that, the racial aspect cannot be erased, but must be handled very carefully.

Plus I've got to do a lot of research on Marthaisms to make it sound right.

 

On the one hand, I'm regretting that I didn't end up at an apartment complex with a pool.

I really just want to lounge & nap in the sun on the weekends so bad.

On the other hand, I'm glad all utilities are covered in the rent, because my AC hasn't been shut off for two weeks straight now (predominantly because I'm on the third floor and moreso as I have a cat that I don't want to die in 107*F weather while I'm away at the office and sadly the AC/Heater isn't temperature controlled—it's just an on/off switch and a dial like that for a shower to indicate how warm or cool you want the air to blow).

I should make friends with people who have access to community pools. I should also probably just make friends

Ah well.

So my family rescued another feral kitten.

Only the parents are near immediately going off on a short trip this weekend and therefore asked if I could care for the little bugger at my apartment till next weekend.

So Namir will finally have a tiny little playmate (hopefully the kitten likes cats) and I'm terrified he won't love me as much anymore.

Is that selfish?
