Why do so many otherwise competent actors fail to realise that when doing a driving scene (in which the car is actually being towed on a trailer) they should probably look at the road occasionally for authenticity purposes?

 

Kind of, @Iain Aschendale, but it's only annoying when it's done absent-mindedly, rather than purposely in an attempt to scare/impress the pretty passenger.

I've now learned it's commonly known as 'Hollywood driving', as is parodied wonderfully in the Tom Cruise film Knight and Day, during which he converses with his co-star Cameron Diaz while at the wheel. It's taken to the extreme with him not looking at the road for a good 90 seconds. Eventually they both rest their heads back and close their eyes, at which point the camera pulls out to reveal they've stowed away in a car on the back of a huge car hauler.

 

I remember that! Yeah, it is a quite annoying phenomenon, Mrs. A screams at the TV whenever she sees it. "Watch the road you stupid!"

 

Kids on the station blasting music like it's some stupid after party.

You're too young to have actually ever been to an after party AND it's before eight on a Monday morning.

These kids have their summer break. Why, oh why, can't they be asleep like normal people?

Extra complaint: going to work really sick.

 

All of these things should annoy you. My personal view is that children who play music from their phones should be immediately vaporised by a laser cannon.
