The news story announcing the death of Frank Sinatra's first wife referred to her as Nancy Sinatra Sr. and their daughter as Nancy Sinatra Jr. Never seen the Sr.-Jr. thing used to describe women before.

I came across an article in my Facebook newsfeed titled "Men Prefer Debt-Free Virgins Without Tattoos" and by golly did it not disappoint.

I shared it with some men in my life. . . and promptly asked them to explain it to me properly, as is only proper.

I'm not sure if I want that on a T-shirt or my tombstone, but I will quote this woman quoting an unspecified woman casting judgement on all of womankind till my dying breath, just see if I won't.

Although, while I'm glad my lack of tattoos makes me more desirable to men, I'm not sure how to prove that I absolutely have no tattoos anywhere to ensure my right to superior attractiveness. . .

I read a commentary on that article. Mrs A hit two out of three when we got married, but those two certainly weren't what drew us or kept us together :)

Yeah, I was definitely a bit confused by anecdotes from my life.

I think the big one is my Christian, hydro-engineer sister-in-law who met my brother at university, married out of college, works full-time same as him, and already has a baby.

But it's true that I have yet to figure out if she knows how to properly garden. Nor have I asked how long my brother had to take in their marriage to reprogram her after her education, and if it is still a labouring ongoing process.

Or how much weight tattoos or the lack of thereof has on any of the other listed qualities & qualifications.

Actually, my biggest disappointment was that the author never really dived into the whole tattoos matter at all.

But I've decided I can't take her seriously; after all, she is neither my father nor my husband. I don't even think she's a man at all, to be honest, and consequently I can't trust her authority on any matter of consequence.

Orcas are some of my favorite creatures in the sea.
I appreciate you asking. The answer is no. Yet again I find myself with conflicted feelings about a process created by people that is not working to it's potential, and my admiration for those very people. The increasing number of people I admire here is making it difficult to focus on a solution for the process. Ever feel great about something, but feel like something's wrong?

Remember a while ago there was a sort of a book-club-ish thing going on here? Anybody up for starting it again?

What’s the purpose of this thread? Just random stuff? I’ve literally been wondering that for months now but have been too weird to ask till now. If so here’s one.

The other day, I asked my sister to hang out in my room with me while I studied and she asked if she could have the duckling on my bed, so I said yeah. She put a towel down on my bed, then the duckling on the towel. Then she sat down on the bed and took out her vape pen and started blowing rings around the duck. When I saw the duck start to freak out at the rings floating toward her, I didn’t say “You’re only fifteen. You shouldn’t be vaping.” or “Don’t scare the duck.” I just said “keep her on the towel.” and went back to studying while my little duck baby kept peeping for help from the scary ghost circles forming around her.

Which does that make me worse at: being an older sister or being a duck mama?
