Someone at group mentioned bubbles, and this sprang to mind, and I was off into a laughing fit. Then the others laughed too because I was laughing. You managed to make people you've never met online or face to face laugh. That's pretty cool!
The more I flesh out the story, the darker it gets. Love that. One of the main criticisms I had with it initially was that it was impossibly upbeat and hopeful for the actual plot.
Tomorrow I get to take some friends out to shoot the sh*t out of some inanimate objects. It's all going to be very therapeutic.
Turns out two of my classes don’t have anything due for a couple of weeks, so I’ve been using the first two days to get ahead in my other two. I won’t allow myself to fall behind like last year.
After two week that I was connected to the internet by a phone, today I bought a wireless modem and after a series of hard wrestling with my computer network, finally I could overcome it and get rid the small keyboard of the small screen of the no smart phone!
<smashes hypothetical champagne bottle into iPad> I hereby christen my novella: "A Leaf by the Fire" and declare it...BEGUN! A prequel standalone of my fantasy.
I finally got hired in the field I'm getting my Masters in! I applied for 2 different positions (at 2 different times) at this one place. Had my interviews. got rejected due to my lack of experience (just having a degree, these days, means nothing without experience.... which college never explained....). But they invited me back after a few weeks and decided to hire me part-time less than 20 hours a week to help me get experience. After 2 weeks, I really impressed them, so they hired me full-time! I start next month!
I absolutely despise the fact that you need two years experience even for ENTRY LEVEL positions these days. It's ludicrous. Jobs that used to be given to people without any college education whatsoever are now requiring you to have forty-seven years of experience as well as eighteen letters of recommendation and a stamp from the president of the universe just to apply.
my issue with applying for jobs has been I'm either OVER-qualified (due to my BA and less than 4 classes away from my Masters) or I'm under-qualified (do to working jobs that are not in my career field). The over-qualified one used to annoy me big time. Like, just hire me! I need money! I need to live!!!! But it all worked out for the best in the end!
interesting. The cops I know have Criminal Justice degrees. CJ degrees, Law, and Psychology are preferred, according to them
I just saw The Happytime Murders. Not only was it fucking hilarious, it kind of clicked some of the things I'm going for in my WIP. If you liked Sausage Party, you'll probably enjoy this.
Just had an amaaaaaazing D&D session where one of my players completely fucked herself over by accident. She made a magical contract with an eldritch abomination, and, predictably, it has backfired. Lord, I’m so happy.
>:] You did this to yourself. I swear there were like three people in the background shouting “IT’S A TRAP” and “DON’T MAKE DEALS WITH THE ELDRITCH ABOMINATION.”
You know, I really appreciate you as a D&D player. I really dig the way you roleplay your character. Gosh, I’m still chuckling a bit.
I feel like me as a player + you as a DM is an unholy alliance that should never have been allowed to exist, in the best possible way.
I went to group today, and that was nice. We video called lady S, cause she moved to Florida and it was her turn in the rotation.
