Glen Ivy has the type of red clay that makes a good skin treatment. You slather it on yourself or each other (no nudity, swimsuits are required), then you go sit in the sun 'til it dries, then you rub and brush the dry clay away and hit the shower and hot springs. Oh...and you cover the seats of your car with plastic and towels before you go, because there will be red clay everywhere, and it stains. Much fun to be had for only $39.
As a matter of fact, I do have some for masks. But Glen Ivy is so wonderfully weird and hedonistic, it must be experienced.
....Three....I stubbed my toe and launched an f bomb into sky. She'll get her money later today. Wouldn't want her dolly mafia to come hounding me. >_> On topic: I'm cheating on coffee with tea. Pumpkin spiced black tea. Also planning a trip to see the fall foliage sometime in the non-existent future, in Vermont. Oh, oh, that and I need to buy some Halloween decorations for the new house.
Experimenting with baking, tried to make a meringue roulade, which may or may not have been a disaster (the bf will likely still eat it though) made more butterscotch pudding, next is our lunches for the week ahead and deciding on a cake for the Macmillan fund raiser this week.
Big Victoria sponge, (12') a lot of real cream and nice sharp home-made Blackcurrent jam in the middle, Lemon Icing sugar lightly dusted over the top and very gently blowtorched to a crisp. (just the sugar) 'Not sure mine is going to survive until the day, I've already picked a chunk out of the middle and filled the hole in with some more cream. I'm probably going to scoff the lot and just give them some money. It's making me hungry just thinking about it now.
Victoria sponge is a classic, but I tend to make dairy free cakes due to intolerances on the part of the other half. When we need whipped cream I whip coconut cream for example. I have a delicious coconut and lime cake recipe or some gooey brownies.
Optus died this morning, while I was online here, so imma using the high-powered WiFi at the cafe\art gallery in the village, but even Telstra is playing up something fierce. I think it's the beginning of the apocalypse...even though the term means 'knowledge revealed', so I'm using the more common and misunderstood meaning of the word. Just bought $150 worth of plumbing parts for the creek pump that runs me mum's garden hose. Once again the water drains out of the pipe, and I have to bleed the pump each morning. So with knowledgeable advice from the AG hardware shop, I've got some modifications to make on the piping layout and build a float for the foot-valve and relocate the pump-house I made when I first arrived. My money's on scouring of the foot-valve, but I'm also replacing all elements of the piping with new parts to eliminate all possibilities. Finish me coffee, then drive home sedately as my front right wheel-bearing began to self-destruct since saturday and has become quite noisy. Got all the tools at home to replace the hub of which I bought two spares a few months ago. So I decided to come into the village today to get all my odd jobs out of the way so I can stay at home to repair the car which might take a while depending on the weather.
Just got back from a meeting, with my partner/mentor to look over symphony shots. Things seem to be good there so far. Need to clear a day to run through and do the editing. Also had lunch with a local group that's allways very interesting. Gonna work on some to do list tasks around the house for the rest of the day.
That's what I thought upon seeing that in my recommendations list. One of the comments said "Aerosmith in 2030" and it made me giggle. Lol. I can see that now.
Definitely not a euphemism xD they are real rats, and I have 6 currently Ned is the eldest. As to the thread topic: flipping through TV channels while cuddling with a rat (Ned, again).
Having looked at the tumblr I have to admit it's an entirely new concept to me. It all seems so reasonable. Pet rats, hmmm, I'll have to think about that.
Trying to catch up on the forum after involuntarily dropping out for a few weeks. Hope you guys have been doing well.
