I'm having some trouble using Quoll Writer for scenes. It appears that the chapter is the smallest unit of text available. I have tried to use chapters as scenes, but I'm not sure how to combine them into chapters. Has anyone else encountered this? If so, how did you resolve this issue from within QW? Is exporting them to MS Word or Libre Office the only option? Otherwise, I still prefer writing in QW more than any other Authorship type software I've encountered.
Answered my own question! You can't do that in Quoll Writer. However, Atomic Scribbler (Also Free), is VERY similar to Quoll Writer BUT it does allow for scenes. Otherwise, I think you would find them quite similar to use. There are a few differences though. Atomic Scribbler has a very elegant and attractive user interface. It can only export to a MS Word document and lacks the idea board (I don't use it anyway), and statistics. They will sell you a SmartEdit plugin for $60 (They make both), but I'm thinking that seems about $30 too high for what you get which doesn't include a readability index, considering there are free packages available (like Quoll writer! Which I could just export to every so often!). For those who need to think and plan in scenes, Atomic Scribbler seems like a better choice to me, in spite of the minor discrepancies in functionality.
