See, that's what I've been saying this whole time! Keep the armor on the inside, and nothing on the outside... then try to get in a tangle...

    1. Saw an article about Girls Aloud on the news yesterday. I've kind of re-discovered them recently, so it interested me. According to one member, they were never friends to begin with and none of them are in contact any more. She always thought the others were jealous of her because she got more lines to sing. Another member says that she's still friends with her and another member and had a more positive take, saying that they were like sisters so of course there was going to be a bit of fighting, but it's still pretty damning. It makes me sadder than it should and I don't know why.

This is the one that really makes me Not Happy:

    2. I hate the "women are heartless bitches and they all hate each other" stereotype. I looked at the comments to see if anyone else expressed sadness at this revelation about their childhood favourite band and the top comment branded them a "typical bunch of women, can't create banter and instead it turns to bickering". Sexism like that really makes me sad.

    3. Someone put that she was the one who got the most lines because she was the only one who could sing. All the others got places in the band due to their singing ability too, and all of them won the TV show that formed them live, without autotune. They've also all had solo careers that have enjoyed reasonable success.

    4. I then read another, contradictory article that was linked to about how the three band members not quoted in the first article had gone out to celebrate one's birthday, calling them "BFFs". It mentioned that one of them had just gone through a breakup and was "heartbroken". Some tosser in the comments felt that ending a three-year relationship and having to adjust to single motherhood wasn't much of an upset and because she's rich, she needs to "get over herself". How dare a celebrity get upset about a failed relationship like a normal person? I hate how much negativity there is towards celebrities.

    One good point, though:
    5. Nicola Roberts is still absolutely gorgeous! :D

I just went over the numbers on my Mega Millions lottery tickets- jackpot $1Billion. That’s 999 million, 999 thousand, 999 dollars, plus one.
    I get two bucks.

Next drawning is Tuesday, assuming nobody won on Friday, for an estimated $1.6 Billion.

Not happy, as I have discovered that I bought the wrong thing for a craft project I wanted. Have also already tried it out, so I can't even take it back. *sigh*

Start a new project for which the thing is the right thing. Like, just spray paint the thing gold and mount it on your mantel on a base labeled "The Wrong Thing."

If it makes you feel better, all jobs are meaningless filler between now and the cold tranquility of the grave.

I'm thinking that even another dull job in (probably) a non-profit organisation whose aims I am a little interested in might make a big difference. The work itself may still be tedious, but the reason I do it will make that near-irrelevant. Something I've not experienced thus far.

Ugh, that little tickle in my throat turned out not to be the result of the cigarette(s) I drunkenly allowed myself on Friday, but an actual full-blown throat cold in the making.

And I didn't realize it til after the drugstore was closed.

And only places with a licensed pharmacist on duty can sell so much as an aspirin here, so it looks like I'm just sucking down cough drops and limiting talking until at least 3pm.

On the bright side you can sound like Leonard Cohen for a few hours, not his singing voice, mind you, but still.
