I assume I'm doing it correctly. I go to the permalink page of my video on my tumblr site, copy the URL and then paste it into the media tags here? It seems to do everything except display the video? I get the tumblr frame, the link to my tumblr at the top, along with a Follow button, and the tags I added to the video displayed across the bottom. In the middle I get a big blank space where the video should be embedded.
Sorry for not getting back to you earlier; I recently flew to South Africa and have limited access to the internet at the moment. Embedding works for me. Maybe it could be a browser issue? Is the embed below working for you? If not, does it work in another browser, or on another computer/network?
Thanks for replying. In Firefox, the area that should contain the video is simply blank. In IE I get a big red cross and the message 'This content cannot be displayed in a frame' Bear in mind it's an extremely old version of IE because I never use it, and I don't want to go through the rigmarole of updating for the same reason. May I ask what browser you're using?
It also works in Edge and Internet Explorer 11 for me. So it might be something on your end, but I'm not sure what, nor why it doesn't work in FF (and that FF is a somewhat modern version).
Can I just clarify you are actually seeing the embedded video within the tumblr frame, in the forum post itself? I just want to make sure you understand it's not just a link back to my tumblr site I want to embed.
