I need a 'what happened next' shot. ETA: The beardy weirdy to the right looks pretty ticked off. I reckon he's going to nick the crown.
I think we should have a what happened next thread. We can post random pictures, and get creative on what happened after the shot/painting occured.
Was sitting at a meeting this morning, and looking as some pumped-up chump in his suit and overpaid job prance about the meeting room hall like he’s hot stuff on a silver platter and a quote came to me. “Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools speak because they must say something.” (Plato) Three guesses which one he belonged to. Ha ha. I found it oddly appropriate at the time.
"My brother's in a wheel chair because of a freak accident as a kid. One day we were playing touch football and he fell off the roof." -Timothy Dunphy, Outside Providence
Mark Twain said, "It is better to keep silence and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt."
Robert Naunton in Fragmenta Regalia called Sir Christopher Hatton, one of Elizabeth I's courtiers, "a mere vegetable of the court". That's pretty savage.
"Sisyphus, I'm going to need you to come in on the weekend, so we don't fall behind." -Existential Comics
If you're gonna send somebody to save the world, make sure they like it the way it is. -Xander Cage, xXx
slightly trimmed down a bit but: "Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things that a man needs to believe in the most...a man should believe in those things because those are the things worth believing in." Robert Duval portraying Hub McCann in Secondhand Lions. " A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow." - Tommy Lee Jones playing Agent Kay in MIB
"The brave are simply those with the clearest vision of what is before them - glory and danger alike - and, notwithstanding, go out to meet it." Leopold from Kate and Leopold, quoting Thucydides.
This quote from Sir Thomas More is unexpectedly crude, and it made me laugh. Part of one of his responses to Martin Luther; "for as long as your reverend paternity will be determined to tell these shameless lies, others will be permitted, on behalf of his English majesty, to throw back into your paternity's shitty mouth, truly the shit-pool of all shit, all the muck and shit which your damnable rottenness has vomited up, and to empty out all the sewers and privies onto your crown divested of the dignity of the priestly crown, against which no less than the kingly crown you have determined to play the buffoon"
