Am I missing something here?

This is an excellent point. Maybe its time for another restructure to the main page. An addition to the navigation that makes important information simple to find and navigate to. The Website is beautiful and largely easy to flick through if you want to find stuff. Everything is categorized, but I feel we might be due for a simplification.

 

what if we re-evaluated the “added value” of our current navigation bar and drop down menues. Surely some of them are slightly misleading or unfilling. In workig with those. We might be able to find a quick and easy placd to insert a workshop rules reference page or something that stands out.

Don’t new members still get the welcome email that explains this stuff?

 

There was an issue that cause the welcome PM not to be sent out for quite a while. However, I believe it was fixed a month ago or so.

 

This sounds like a job for a (moderator-approved) secret-shopper



to make sure that the message is really going through to brand new accounts.

It still won't help the people whose first post is "Hey all, I just wondered if you could critique the first fifty pages of my story!" and have said request in "The Art of Critique" because where else would it go...

Does this forum have a "I have read the Terms and Conditions" popup that you have to pretend you read and click "yes" without reading?
