I've always wanted to see a hammered Hammer. It could answer some of life's most perplexing mysteries, like: "what happens if you pour a root beer into a square glass?"

Just as I'm apparently the only person who prefers canned peas to frozen or fresh, I'm also the only one who likes canned corned beef, of which I'll have a sandwich (on rye) to accompany my broccoli in cheese sauce.

I don't mind it. I generally keep a few tins on hand as emergency rations, so every few months or so I'll use it to make corned beef and cabbage. Just like my grandma used to make.

    Eggs, chips, bacon.

Seasoned with salt and vinegar (malt vinegar).

    UK food.

This can pass as a breakfast food around here, but, I had this for dinner tonight.

I like corned beef but I've never had canned peas. Sounds like some gross American thing.

They are tasty. A different flavour to frozen or fresh peas. In the UK I’d probably only eat tinned mushy peas, but in France they come in jars & are very lovely :).

I am pretty sure canned peas are just recycled green army men.
Peas should be a vibrant shade of green, not OD green. :p

Until relatively recently I thought that "mushy" peas were something vomitted up by aliens, but actually quite tasty; as long as you don't think of real peas whilst you're eating them/it

There can only be one reply to that, and it is one word -- Vegemite. In America, we condemn houses when we find stuff like that growing on bathroom walls!

I will concede that canned peas are terrible compared to fresh or frozen. BUT they last forever! perfect food for the Zombie Apocalypse. In Japan, they served dried and roasted peas as snack food. Or, they did when I was there.

I don't like Vegemite that much. Same as I don't like anchovies that much. I'm not a fan of anything so strongly salty. If I'm going to have that sort of pungency of taste in one flavour it would be a large amount of chilli, not salt.
And yes, hardey harr it is made with yeast mold but then so is bread.

today I was not in a mood to cook anything. Now I'm hungry and should find something to have, but as there is not anything in the refrigerator I have to go out to eat something. So I think I shall go to an ordinary restaurant to have kebob.

But please let me a moment so that I can search my wallet...

No. It is better I go to a fast food shop and eat a sandwich.

I wonder, Carly. You eat such the healthy vegan foods and then when you go to a vegan restaurant with your family, you fall on the floor and weep for a glass of alcohol ! that is not on the table!

What I must do with your two opposite habits ?! LOL
