I love the fact that they're all this goldeny-brown, and then there's that one black one in the middle.

I nearly wrote "there all this goldeny-brown". Time for bed. (Also it's half past four in the morning.)

 

Death by a thousand licks?

 

I lost my voice on Thursday. Only other symptoms are congestion and an occasional cough. It's now Sunday afternoon and I still sound sick. I go between sounding like an old woman who's smoked her entire life or a boy in the midst of puberty.
All I want for Christmas is my real voice back. I have a pretty good singing voice normally and right now I can't carry a tune in a bucket. It makes me sad bc I love singing Christmas songs.

 

Same cold here. Internet--transmissible?

 

Ugh. I hope you feel better soon. That's the exact thing I had when I was sick in September, so whatever it is, it's winding its way through the Southern half of the US. All the neighbors had it, so it seems to be pretty contagious. It didn't feel like a cold, so we all called it "The Thing".

 

I would like to say that you're alone facing those monsters but unfortunately many here can sympathise with you, myself included; been there, done that, burned the T-shirt on at least a few occasions. I too worry when one will next return to take my under those troubled waters. We do understand the desolation and misery that these monsters bring; you're not alone and we do care and understand. Feel better soon and pay heed to the zoo sign.

I just saw another one. Another Facebook meme with somebody's photo on it, coupled with an unsupported accusation against them. The photo shows an unnamed woman riding in a cable car in the mountains, while the meme accuses her of killing puppies. The meme comes with the exhortation to 'share this' so the 'bitch' gets her comeuppance.

When are we going to stop this 'trial by media?' That meme was shared by somebody I know, which is how it got into my news feed. I know my friend means well. But SHIT! Brains, people. Brains. Unless these things are reliably sourced, DON'T share them. That photo could be of you or me, with the accusation attached. How would that feel, eh?
