No worries. I responded in humor, or tongue-in-cheek if you will.

MC is going to die twice, once in an industrial accident, later by suicide in an attempt to get to Hell.

Don't worry, he'll be okay, I have the glimmerings of a sequel.

one of the main characters die. The monster hunter who buried Lauren alive allows himself to die. He realizes that, as long as he lives, she'll continue to torment him by hurting/killing those that he loves and cares about. If he dies, then she has no further reason to hurt anyone else. So, her ideations for revenge end up being all for naught, which then ends the story. I think it was a good idea to shake up the standard trope by having the main characters end up arguably worse off than before, it's a lot more realistic. Things don't tie themselves up in a nice little bow to end the story.

Hopefully I didn't reveal too much here, I'm a tad drunk typing this to be frank.

I've killed off a ton of characters over the years, but every death served the story in some way, they were never done for shock value or to show that no one has script immunity. I really don't regret any of them because their deaths served a purpose. I also never brought anyone back, although I admit there are one or two that I think were a potential missed opportunity had they lived on to other stories.

Before, as in something I'm writing now, and may just be part of a series. A young woman kills herself, assisted by the main character. After she's dead, she opens her eyes, and says to the man who helped kill, something like "I gave you what you wanted." From my story of mental illness. So, sorry, no zombies. :)

Well, in TNT it's well north of 6 billion people. Lotta vignettes to choose from, for each type of demise. I'm a little intimidated about writing a few of them. Mooshed, buried, cheese-gratered, starved, vaporized... :(

for me this depends on whether undeath counts as death.
I have had twelve characters die properly
    3 characters who became undead
5 that died and were rezzed
