I have a really bad cold, so I'm not doing much today. A lot of sleeping, a bit of guitar practice (gawds above, I'm rusty!), and watching some movies. I might do some writing after dinner tonight.

Honestly the first time I read this, I thought it said 'doing my fiance'.
I guess my brain just misread the word for some strange reason.
Might need to get that looked at. :p

Drink'n Coffee... Work'n on my Book...

My illustrated showed me a mock up of the cover, looking better. Still got a bit to go though. Gave her some suggestions, corrected Kristol's armor, etc. and gave some picks.

If you ever see that post from me, you can be assured that Hell has just frozen over, I need palliative care only his excellent insurance can provide, and/or some sort of end of the world,nothing-to-lose, better-take-cover shit is about to occur because otherwise there's not gonna be a fiance.

On the plus side, it's nice to know I'm considered talented enough to do the fiance, walk someone though making sauce veloute via text, do a load of laundry and post in the Forum all at the same time. Doesn't say much for his skills of distraction, though! :D

edited because of course I misspelled fiance...

One é is for the male, an ée is for the female, and since I think @Shenanigator is straight, she'd have a fiancé and be a fiancée if she were to be affianced.

Trying to upgrade my old computer back to Windows 10. It was the one that died earlier this summer, I got it repaired (probably), but decided to replace it anyway since it past the five year point that modern desktops seem to die at. We're thinking about getting Netflix though, so I thought I'd set it up next to the TV and see if I can get it to work again. Clean install on everything, so that's what that machine will be doing for the next few hours.

Yup, I got a beta offer from a professional editor when I was doing research on a non-writing forum. Submitted my MS after proofing the living snot out of it, and they only found two errors, which is good, but that was one of them that I was completely unaware of. Lesson learned.

Okay, got the old computer started, updated to Windows 10, switched to English, and antivirused. Time to sit on the sofa, eat dried cranberries, and watch woodturning videos!

Perhaps, looking back honestly i don't think they hold anything against me. I just can't face them or myself. I'm pretty hard on myself, i know i shouldn't most people i know by now are aware i was dealt a bad hand at childhood.

I thought this forum was quiet on the story side. Now I'm just checking alerts as a lot of stuff seems very old. You are all in here micro blogging. Can I ask that you all do some work and perhaps post it. I am sick of refreshing short stories.

    Thanks.

Went for my first ride yesterday since tweaking my back what seems like many moons ago.

After a month of mild calisthenics to strengthen core, arms and legs, and doing a new routine of 9 sets in the morning...
(I figure one huge set is better than two smaller ones at the beginning and end of the day)

...1st ride was around 10am ( did my calis around 4am), 35+ degrees, reasonable muggy wind (dropping to 24 after noon as storms came late that arvie)...due to heat and wind decided to not push myself too much for 1st ride.
    Did the 12km ride 1 min 30 sec quicker...woo !
Also noticing my legs and lungs didn't sting as much up the initial opening km before hitting the main road.
On one very short hill just before the turn point, I'll stand and power up it.
Before, my lungs would scream in pain even before reaching the crest and I'd have to sit down and drop down a shitload of gears.
Now no gear changing and I can stand all the way and can do the hill quicker.
Still hurts at the top, but no where near as much.

Did another ride at 4pm, cooler temp, still windy, and sore from the morning's ride and calis, still did it 1 min 30 secs quicker.
Now 2am next morn, very sore all over...feels good.
Rest day today. Off to Bridport to walk the beach this morn (haven't done the beach for over a year), then visit a mate, then if weather is dry and I'm up to it, mow the yard in the arvie. If too sore will mow on cali days.

I've been trying find an accurate description for how I feel since doing calis, and the other day it dawned on me as it's more than feeling stronger or fitter.
My well-being has improved...not only do I feel better physically, this has a positive effect on my mental and emotional state...hence well-being.
All aspects of my being has improved.

Will do about a month of rides with current setup, then will install mods on bike.

It feels so nice to be riding again.

We are merely procrastinating we`ll finish writing soon. Like in 2029 perhaps.

Today got off to a odd and late start been working though. Did a lot of research on new ideas this morning.

TBH, this isn't a story sharing site. A lot of us don't post our work because doing so would count as "previously published" and would eliminate any chance for publishing it.

I too, had different expectations of this site at first. Here it is about writing itself, the things that make a story, the people who write them, the dificulty in writing. You will find much to discover once you get to know the site, and it's people-things. I too had to be patient. There is a place for you here. :)

(PM me if you were referring to something specific)
