can't remember whether I posted the "practice" round a couple of weeks ago, but I have just turned out the dear-ol'-mum's birthday (cheese)cake. difficult to tell that it's for her birthday but there isn't enough room for 95 candles!!!! looks too good to eat but I suppose we should - vanilla on the outside, chocolate and black cherry on the in.
Microwave meal; Too busy tonight to cook. But still need to eat. Chilli Con Carne microwave meal rrp £1.00 I bought this coming in tonight, gonna cook it, eat (I need to eat) and go.
For dinner, I made bean burritos, and since I needed to chop onions anyway I made egg salad for tomorrow's lunch.
Had a frozen pizza last night was quite enjoyable. Heated up some leftover chicken and rice earlier today with some Guava paste added. Was very good, going to go back out to the kitchen in a bit and work on rice pudding and my "specialty" muffins in a bit. The specialty muffin being a blueberry muffin with strawberry's added to it and a light crusting of sugar on top. Not the best time to find strawberry's but i`ve been wanting to do them again lately. No idea what to do for actual dinner food. Maybe just a dessert for dinner night.
I stewed a pork piece in crushed tomato about 7 hours in a clay pot with a lid. After that I took skin with fat and bone away. You can grill it a bit if you want to. This time I did not. Easy to do. Good. Cheap. Kids like it. I'm not sure if I understand what "battered" means here.
A chicken curry wrap: reheated leftover chicken curry, baby spinach leaves, tamarind sauce, and Greek yogurt wrapped in a thin whole wheat tortilla.
Terrible. And then of course, there was the cream that got whipped... Lotta violence against food these days...*shakes head*
