Cheers for the very informative response.
I like your extra safe mode...I think that's a wise way to go.

It would never have occurred to me regarding all you've said..seems obvious as I have next to zero knowledge regarding publishing...one of the reasons I signed up here.

Bonus being your response has more than accounted for the membership fee I paid many moons ago.

Did 2 walks on the beach...40mins each.
Now that I'm fitter I have to get used to increased walking pace as I've been meandering walking in nature for years.

My natural pace has increased, and at first I was annoyed, then I adapted and I just do 2 walks.

Sat down inbetween and pondered life, the universe and everything, peacefully watching the last bit of high-tide coming in.

Good news for me is this beach would be completely under a decent amount of water at high-tide, so my visiting times were restricted.
Now the landscape has once again changed and there's about 10 metres of flat beach at high-tide...so, apart from king tides, I can jolly well go there whenever.

Interestingly, my shoulders and underarm muscles are the sorest...I thought my legs would be the worst. But I'm still way tired.

Wondering why my cyst starts to be most painful after dark.
ETA: I now know the reason. The immune system is most active at night, so the pain is in fact my body fighting the infection. Just a shame it has to hurt me in the process, although the overall pain has decreased substantially since I've been taking the antibiotics. The more you know.

Pondering a mystery. It's 2 degrees F. outside, but my furnace is keeping the temperature inside the house at 70 degrees F. I'm wearing sweat pants and sweatshirt and am a little chilly. If it were 70 degrees outside, I'd have all the windows open and would be dressed in t-shirt and shorts. WTF?

Taking a break from wrestling with sofa cushions. I made the decision to wash the covers, but now I have to put them back on again! :bigmeh:

Put blowey-uppey ball, bag, or such, to stretch it out from the inside, like a cervical balloon. Inflate to desired size.

There are certain individuals on WF who defy explanation. You should know that by now. :p

That image is the best thing i`ve seen. Cave may defy explanation but that`s why we love him. Today was a snow day. Not in the fun no school hang out in pj`s kinda way. In the spent the day trying to deal with extremely heavy snow as it kept coming down and turning to ice. Lucky we had two shovels because the one I was using snapped apart in my hand. Day`s like this I think about moving down south.

Couple the shoveling with the fact I just recently (today) started working with dumbbells and exercise and I am sitting here resting and aching. Tomorrow will be a very welcome rest day. Overall good day even if little voices in my head keep telling me I coulda should a would a done more. Had a kinda ephinay yesterday, and working towards new goals and changes. Slowly but surely one day and aching muscle at a time.

Why do you think I appreciate CT? There is the expanded mind, and then there is the extended mind. :D

I'm not the only one! Been wondering about this ever since I had a coworker who insisted on keeping the office climate control at 28c (about 82f) in the winter, but once it warmed up, insisted on cranking it down to 18c (64-ish). I'm generally pretty good at 25 most of the year, with my clothing level going up and down from tweeds to linens.

I never thought about this before, but now that you mention it, I’m pondering this too. It’s 67 degrees F in here, I’m wearing velour leggings, a sweatshirt, and a hoodie, and I’m drinking hot tea on the couch under two heavy quilts. Yet 65 is my favorite walking temperature, and I’m usually comfortable enough in a T-shirt.

Hey, I didn’t say this is my attire for company!

You lead an interesting life, Ash.

...and now I’ve gotta get outa my warm quilts to go outside to see the eclipse.

Yeah, now I'm busy with the chills and thrills of calculating final semester grades. Two classes down, more than I care to think about to go.

Same here. I couldn't see the moon to start with, and it was too bloody cold to go out looking for it at that time of morning. Absolutely freezing! I am amazed we don't have any snow or ice today, it was certainly cold enough.

Not being where I had planned to be and not listening the lecture I had planned to listen but wasting time with Internet and drinking cocoa while kids are learning something funny, interesting and useful.

I wish my camera could have captured it, because the moon was directly over my driveway and the stars looked so close. The moon was peeking out between some clouds, and then the clouds parted and drifted away just as the eclipse started, revealing a pitch black sky dotted with stars near and far. I saw the moon change to red and could clearly see the Earth’s shadow on it. It was close enough that it looked like a three dimensional round ball one could just reach out and pluck out of the sky like picking an orange off a tree.

(ETA: And hell yes it was cold out. It was in the low ‘40’s with a brisk ocean wind, and I was standing out there wearing velour leggings, a sweatshirt, a hat, two hoodies, ear warmers, and a scarf wrapped over my face.)
