Sorry, Ash. While I agree with you, I can still hear the cries of the editor who taught me how to write news articles: "No comma before 'and' in a list for God's sake!" Now that I'm writing fiction, on a good day my comma usage is about half and half of each (and, word to the wise, Grammarly isn't catching them all). Hmmm...Maybe I oughtta try to find him, buy you guys a beer, and let you two hash it out. How's your arm wrestling, Ash? *rubs paws together* Methinks there's money to be made here... OT: No idea, but I bashed up some chocolate covered almonds in a Ziplock bag with a meat mallet and added them to chocolate ice cream for later. (Edited to change a comma bukake to parentheses.)
Attempted to make glazed pork with some sweet chilli duck gravy I had from a few days ago. Thank God I set the timer for 25min only because that pan was buuuuurnt Stupidly didn't add any water. Swapped the pan so the current one didn't get any worse, poured more gravy over the pork, added water this time, plus some butter. Glazed effect was not achieved because the sauce had only been in the oven for 10min Well, pork's cooked anyway. Let's see...
We got our first "big" snow of the winter (like 4" or so) and I did not want to leave the house. I convinced Mr. Kelly to make a grocery run so I can make a bomb-ass lemon chicken orzo soup for dinner. It was not a difficult task!
After a few days hard cold sickness that made me weak and unable today I went to a restaurant and had a dish of " broad bean -rice with lamb" with " Yogurt -shallot" and a Pepsi. When I was getting out from the home my mother said to me, my dear son you still are sick and even can't stand on your feet well. Fatty foods and carbonated drinks are not good for you so avoid them. But when I went to the restaurant I forgot her advises and drank Pepsi! Nonetheless, fortunately my cold didn't got worse until now.
I was very good today. I had a caesar salad with two portions of Alaskan pollock, and a slice of homemade bread. Followed that with a glass of orange juice and a banana.
In case Tomato Sauce crashes, press F1, then Esc and then Enter. This should reboot Pork. Open tomato sauce again and tell me how it went. Kind regards,
Not tonight, but tomorrow I'll be chucking a Pork Orloff roast in the smoker. Ordered it online since sourcing block pork roast is difficult locally, and decent bacon would require a week to ten days to make. Here's what it looks like in the brochure: And I'll show you my version tomorrow.
It's basically a pork roast that's been sliced, not quite all the way through. Stuff the sliced areas with herbs, bacon, and cheddar, tie it all up, and cook. Here's the uncooked from the seller's page:
Tonight's dinner was more assembled than cooked, but it did the job. A small bagel, toasted in the oven, after which I topped one half with cream cheese, dill, and cracked black pepper, and the other half with avocado, turkey, spinach leaves, and a bit of mayo. On the side: black olives, cherry tomatoes, and pickled beets...I must be craving salt and antioxidants.
I'm making spaghetti, and liking the new sauce I found. It has chunks of zucchini and carrot in it, kinda reminds me of my mom's sauce a bit.
I was sitting at an expensive restaurant in the middle table, when I realised that I was the only customer. The waiter came and served me the roasted version of the Orlof Pork. He winked at me and left, which seemed strange but whatever. Food! It smelled deliciously. I took a fork and a big kitchen knife and went on to stab the thing, but just before I did, it started to move. Then I realised that it used to be some kind of a special meat caterpillar and it turned into a cocoon. The cocoon was as tough as a stone and I couldn't carve the damn thing. It broke open by itself and a big, beautiful butterfly flew out from it and started flying all around me. I stabbed it with my fork mid air and ate it. It indeed tasted like bacon and cheese and I am hungry af. The end. Back into reality again.
You should have asked for it to be fired a tad bit longer. I don't like to work too much when my meat is in cooked form. Though I suppose some don't mind their pork still 'lively' in the consumption process.
I always order it well-done. Some people just don't get it. The hunt is over people and so is the stone era!
