Yeah, us mutant females are pigs in any culture! :D

Say all the peoples of the Earth walked around nekked. If you line a bunch up, boy-girl, you will find that if you stand any male opposite, the first thing he looks at is the penis of the male in front of him. *shrug*
    So much for first impressions...

Naw, we're all about the love and hugs and shots of Jameson... except for this one dude....

ETA: so far my cajun shrimp salad and duck poutine are sitting in the gullet just fine. The Mayflower Porters however...

Getting ready to start a writing session. It's a lovely day out, so I'm wanting to take my bike for a spin... But I'm finally making headway on my WIP again and don't dare lose my writing rhythm. Onto writing!

It's nice and cool outside this morning. Time for a hike up to the water tank on the mountain. The water tank is there to water the local wildlife, horses and dogs. Someone very thoughtful installed it. Unfortunately, it's been so hot and dry, it's currently empty.

Just chilling. :) Made some progress with my writing thanks to a writing mentor I found a year ago who had worked to beat down the barriers I constructed around my creativity.

Killing time while I finish a story. Almost done! And I managed to keep it around 3500 words. Very proud of myself.

The next Star Wars is looking great!

Finished the 4:30 workout about twenty minutes ago. Onward to a nice cold shower, some breakfast and then its time to kick the day in the balls and steal its candy.

Just finishing up coffee and about to get ready for work.

I still love working at the Soils Lab. Been there almost three years now.

Finishing my orange juice, then I'm heading over to a neighbor's house to give their dog its meds. She's in the hospital, and the dog is afraid of her boyfriend (what's wrong with this picture?). The dog and I get along great, so it takes me all of ten minutes to round him up, put two different kinds of meds in his ears, and get a pill down him.

25 Year Anniversary of the death of Derek Jarman, film-maker, artist, 'icon,' suppose. His garden at Dungeness is so beautiful. Makes me wistful for my days, and our house on the beach in Pevensey.

Waiting for the sheriff to arrive because the asshole to my right moved the property line and is sawing up the concrete of my driveway. Called the country property appraiser's office and asshole never filed anything, so it's unquestionable trespassing.

Do i need this right now? No, I do not.

My phone is busy filming as well.

    Changing my exercise routine.

The other day, did a 4am WO, then bike ride at 9am, then another at 5pm.
Had to have 2 days rest inbetween.
I suspect that me bod has gone into repair mode by the arvie seeing as it's been 12 hrs since the WO, thus arvie rides are counter productive.

Next time I did a WO then only a morning ride and I was still sore but easily able to exercise after only 1 day of rest.

So, starting next week, it's early morning WO, then 1 ride to the village and back.
That's a 33 km run @ 2hr:15-30mins, with a 30 min rest inbetween to avoid heart attack or burst vessels in me noggin'.

Also just grabbed some gearing calculations for current and upgraded gearing.
Current is front 22-40 rear 11-36
New is front 30-48 rear 11-50
I suspect my rear derailleur can't run the 11-50, even with hanger extension, so I grabbed calculations for rear 11-40 and 11-44. Cheaper to buy smaller cassette than larger derailleur.

Doing this to see what ratios are the same or better than 12-36, and now standing up for the several small hills and doing hell hill in 2nd lowest rear gear, thus 11-50 might be overkill.

No bad strategy. Make sure to use the neighbor's tools, too. Maybe store a sack of cement in their backyard.

Planning trip to the park. Only problem is the park is about half an hour in the opposite direction to anything I've visited (in this city) before and it makes me a tad nervous.

Drinking orange juice and eating Brazil nuts and almonds because I'm a little wobbly this morning (low in potassium or magnesium, methinks) and have shit to do. It's a bit of a late start this morning because something woke me at 4:00 AM. But that's OK because I went outside and finally saw Jupiter shining in all its big, bright, silvery-white glory.

(Edited to remove the redundant "bright". Yeah, I'm not awake enough for writing yet.)

Came back to add: I'm gonna have a Canine visitor for the day! Not due to circumstances I'm at all happy about (neighbor had to go back to the hospital last night), but I enjoy spending time with him and am happy to provide temporary guardianship.

Wow, only an hour in and I got 704 words down. Not only that, but it seems my writing is improving bit by bit and I seem to be able to nail a chapter down every two days.

Here's an excerpt for y'all. [IMG]
