Like watching a bad copy of a copy of a parody. It makes you wonder about at what point does absurdism lose all meaning.

Oh, the oxy-moronic irony of absurdity losing all meaning... o_O

    Saturday at the airport:

Passport controller: *asked something in Danish*
    Me: Excuse me?
Passport controller: *asks same thing in Danish*
Me, in Swedish: are you asking when I'm going home?
Passport controller getting annoyed: *ask same damn thing in Danish"
Me, in English: I'm sorry but I don't understand what you're saying...
Passport controller, now in English : Don't you speak Swedish?

...like what the hell? I don't know if the Danes understand Swedish better, but I don't understand spoken Danish at all! And if someone don't understand the same question all those times, when do you feel like switching to English which anyone is more likely to understand than Danish.

I muttered - in Swedish - that I don't understand Danish, as she let me in.

I just got so furious. Especially over how she got annoyed at me but kept asking the same question in the same language as if I'd magically understand after a while.

Bonus complaint: England has brought my social anxiety back and I can barely go out on my own.

From where I'm standing, Swedish is far more comprehensible than Danish; I wouldn't be incredibly surprised if that applies even to Danes.

Quite rude and unprofessional behaviour. If you work at an airport you should be willing and able to speak English. Seems to me she should have taken the hint by the second repetition at the latest.

I tried making out what she said and I got that it was a question and it sounded like it ended with a "hjem" or something like that which I assumed meant home. From context, maybe I should've realized that she asked me where I was going, but from her words I'd never get it.

Looking for jobs at one of those sites that presents available jobs and such.

Chooses specific city, chooses full time.

"Hey, how about this 27 hours a week at this city that's about two hour drive away from the one you specifically choose?"

Don't let me choose any specifics if your website can't give it to me!

May belong in another thread, and it's probably a software limitation, but it annoys me that I can't 'Like' just part of a post.

Haha. Good idea, but I've never been banned from anything. I feel like my first time should be earned. How nasty would one have to get to be banned from the "Let's yell at each other about Trump" thread?

I'm not sure I love that our streets become ice rinks for weeks at a time, but at least you get to train your balance and feel like an absolute ninja the 5-6 times a day you don't slip and fall and die.

How did Norwegians survive before the invention of telecommuting? In Canada, we just used skates. This led to hockey, which led to a great many hospitalizations, which led to people not going to work anyway.

Yet another news story featuring mopes whining about the fact their tax refunds are smaller than last year. If you get a refund, it means you've lent the government money at zero interest! Stop that!

Dating people who listen to things in their sleep.

I just fell down the last few steps of the stair down to the bathroom, screamed like I was dying (Got away with a stubbed toes and maybe some bruises) and someone is still sleeping!

Those stairs are dangerous and I've said that they'll be the death of me. Would just feel safer if I knew someone would hear me plunger to my death!

Bonus complaint: nerves for the flight back in Monday makes my sleep bad. I can only seem to sleep for like two hours straight before waking up :dead:
