V cool! Jupiter is my favourite planet. All big and majestic.
Venus was super green the other night. Right twinkly too.
We had a full moon last night so spent some time enjoying that.

Clearing loose items from the property in preparation for cyclone Oma, expected to pay us a visit this weekend. She's very much like her namesake, my grandmother: fickle in that she may decide to show up or not, destructive and loves you in an abusive way. Ahh, the fond memories of my childhood return.

Mine too. And the Moon has been gorgeous!
I've been trying to find Venus for a couple of weeks now, but lately it's either too low in the sky when I'm looking, or the clouds are covering it. I've seen it quite a few times before (wasn't green, though--how cool!) but thought it would be cool to find it during this time period when Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn are visible.

One of the final tests for colorblindess is an LED test, where they sit you in a darkened room and there's an LED light that you look at. It can change between red, green, and yellow, and all you have to do is identify which color it is, then it switches off for a bit, comes back on, and you tell them what you think the new color is.

I guess what I'm saying is that all the stars and planets are the same color.

To get an idea of how I see the world, the bisected apple on the right is slightly more red on the top than bottom, but there is no difference whatsoever in the color of the other fruit in the picture.

Thank you for that. I've always wondered what colorblindness looked like.

If it's any consolation about the constellations planets, to the naked eye, Mars is the only one I've seen glow a color (amber). The moon has its moments, but for the most part, it, the stars, and planets are usually similar colors of silvery white.

I now know three humans who are colorblind (dogs and cats are colorblind, I think. Can't remember if horses are). Interestingly, all three people are creative.

Whoa, wait...So you can't see your own blue suede shoes???? That sucks. And how are you such a natty dresser? Does Mrs. A. assist? Do you arrange your closet a certain way to keep things straight?

    Sorry. Journalist...:)

ETA: What am I doing? Asking questions! And now I'm going to frost cupcakes.

This is the thing, I do see colors, I don't have the variant that leads to a black and white world. I'm primarily red/green colorblind, those apples can tell you something that they can't tell me, but telling things like traffic lights apart is no problem at all, even without the positional context. Where it hits me most of all is between greens and browns. I found out my favorite brown jacket is actually some sort of dark green, my favorite green patterned tie is actually a brown patterned tie, etc. Fortunately, earth-tones almost always compliment each other, just maybe not exactly how I think they do.

Mrs. A has had to do the occasional intervention though. :)

ETA: The lightest color in the old US Woodland camouflage pattern appears to be a light green to me, always has. I'm told it's khaki.

The lightest colour out of the four is certainly beige. The khaki is the second lightest one here.

I'm writing! Woohoo! Amazing the inspiration you can get by opening a big bag of Crunchy Cheetos and sipping on a Reed's Jamaican style ginger beer. The news, alas, is no help. Still, a story is coming along. It's the first traditional fantasy I've ever attempted - scientific plausibility be damned! At least for this story.

Just finished the early morning workout. I've gotten a lot stronger and need to buy heavier dumbbells later, at least 40 lbs. Then I have to look for an artist again, for my product. My picky ass has trouble with picking and sticking with one art style....but I'll find that "magical" one soon.

After morning meditation, its time for a hearty breakfast an onto the day.

    Stay awesome, everyone.

Wondering why I woke up at and stayed up since two. Was good though I suppose, got my vitamins in Mr, fixed my lack of pants via the dryer, made some peanut butter toast, gave the dog her pills, made my bed, and cleaned up the kitchen a bit. Right about now is when I normally wake up and lay in bed for a bit so good head start.

Last two days have been exhausting, to drained to do anything. From mental drain of therpay and the work out of dealing with snow storms. Glad to have a productive start to today. Was pondering doing something with left over pancake batter mabye pancake muffins but I want chocolate chips for that now.

I'll find something for second breakfast, take my shower, clean and get the garbage out, and then ether nap or do office work. Have a bit that needs doing. Being forced to karoka tonight for my birthday. I appreciate the thought but not the "strong suggestion" of it or the idea of karaoka itself.

I'm going to be naive and say that guy used the old "remote control workout" for those gains. Just needs to switch hands every once in awhile. :p

OT: Because of an infestation in her school, the little one has the day off. Unfortunately for her, that means running around with me all day. Fortunately for her, that means pizza lunch and something deep fried for dinner.

Edit - We got hotdogs instead. Twerp insisted, stomach approved. :p

Thanks for explaining. I find this stuff fascinating. It sounds like your experience of colors might be similar to when people who see colors the traditional way guess what the colors are in a black and white film, except you're starting with a palette other than black and white. Later we discover that although our minds had them color coordinated, the colors were entirely different!
*whistles to get the room's attention* Hey, y'all! Ash bleeds purple!!! :D

Seeing blood as purple would be kinda cool, actually...Not that I want to see a bunch of blood, but just sayin'.
I know a violinist whose bow arm looks considerably different from the other arm. We joke that it's bionic.

ETA: What am I doing? Procrastinating an edit I don't want to do.

Just taking it easy, tomorrow I got to call the good old California government to get my security guard ID number, so I can give that to my new company, so i can then go to orientation next week.

And I get to become a guard! Then there is a whole bunch of classes I can take become a better guard and possibly a security expert sometime in the future

This showed up on my phone thanks to....I'm not even sure.

The chorus is oddly catchy, but this turkey sandwich I'm eating just tastes too good.

How many drugs were needed to shoot this?

If you ordered the turkey sandwich on your phone or did a search for a place that had one, that's how. Tracking cookies and Algorithms. Weird stuff always shows up in my YouTube feed after some of my searches, even with Duckduckgo.

    A most excellent salutation.

Conjured up memories of Bill n Ted's excellent Adventure.
I still regard, "Be excellent to each other", as one of the best calls to Love.
Several years ago I modified it to include self love, Be excellent to yourself and others.
