    Fast Food Thread

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Bobby Burrows, Feb 21, 2019.

Today I found out that my quiet little South London town's finally got a Taco Bell.

I saw it, went in, had lunch.

I'm from South London, land of the chicken shop.
As well as chicken shops (fried chicken), we have McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa John's, Subway, Five Guys and now Taco Bell.

We also have Chinese food, and Sushi Bars.
A lot of Jamaican places near me, some I love, some I like, some seem to never get my order right.
Indian take out food here too.
Also have Fish & Chip shops.
Also have this char grilled chicken place called Nando's.
We have kebab, but, I'm not really into kebab.

I've been waiting for this day; the day when I could get Taco Bell.

There's a 'Chinese' place in my area that does the best spicy peanut chicken and hot and spicy thick noodles I've ever had. There's not a lot else really. There's McDonald's, Wendy's, Harvey's, Subway, Tim Hortons, a Country Style and a taco place, but I mostly only get McDonald's breakfast as a night after thing and that's only because I can turn the orange juice into a screwdriver.

Well if you can catch it, cause it's quick.

IDK, I don't do fast-food. Though we have
McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, Taco Bell,
    and Little Ceasars.

Pretty much all the other places are proper
    restaurants.

We have all the usual suspects near here (except Sonic - looking forward to them finally moving in). McDonalds is the closest, so I go there most often, usually for McDouble and fries. Reminds me I need to try the new Big Mac with bacon and the bacon/cheese fries. Taco Bell and Arby's are also favorites.

Fast food? There's a Roy Rogers on the way to my mom's place. The last time I tried one of their sandwiches, it went through me like hot prune juice through a goose, Too fast for me!

Hmm, we've got McDonalds, MOS Burger, Matsuya, Sukiya, CoCo Ichi (is that fast food? Yeah, but borderline), Yoshinoya, KFC, and Kurazushi (again, borderline) in town. For Wendy's, Taco Bell, or Burger King you gotta go into the city.

I live in Phoenix. We have every fast food joint you can think of here. My favorites are Long John Silver's, In n Out and Chic fil A.

One place that I've been hearing about but haven't seen around here yet is PDQ. It's supposedly a chicken joint. I'd like to try that one of these days. I'm a millennial. I love fast food and technology.

We don't have In-N-Out here, but I heard the other day they have a Neapolitan milkshake, which might be worth driving to California for.

    1. We have fish & chips. Among the finest in the world. Best ask for haddock.

    2. The bakers are not appetising, and they do not really do pasties up around here. Pies territory. Oh...oh..Bothams in Whitby is good. They like me.

    3. Indian & Chinese are of the 1970s throw-back type. Not the 'Dorking Taj Mahalla/Best in Guildford/new wankkaa' - [which] requires a journey to York.

    4. Plus usual range of underclass 'grub' - McD/KFU/Pizzer

    5. Scene requires authentic Lebanese dealer, or a Greek family, possibly Italian couple? Local Barber, Kebab & Chip Burger not suitable for my horse.

    6. plus + Candyfloss/ice cream/donkey on beach/plethora of Polish sausage in the supermarket, as in food, not customers. Gherkins are good.

    We have 'chicken shops' here.

I assume everywhere does, but, South London, land of the chicken shop.

Here's one I like, it's not my local, but it's one that does fried chicken and booze.
Their fried chicken's alright, not too greasy, nice flaky kind of fried chicken, but, really, I like that you can get booze here too.

This was me raving about them on yelp.
